Active Plastering

We found Active Plastering on the Which Website so were happy to give them a call. The room we wanted decorated was in an exceptionally bad condition and the space that was available to work in was very limited, but despite this Chris and Neil worked extremely well and completed work a day earlier than was expected. We asked them if they would consider putting up some shelves whilst they were there and they agreed even though they were not expecting the extra work. We are very pleased and will use them again at any time we need work done.

Chris and Neil attended my property after extensive damage was caused by upstairs neighbour's undetected slow water leak in my kitchen ceiling. The ceiling was professionally repaired and re-plastered. The ceiling and walls re-painted. Chris and Neil did their best to keep mess and dust under control. They worked professionally as a team. Were on time and scheduled all work keeping to timescale. They also checked in following the initial prep work to ensure ceiling was drying effectively for next phase and completion of work. They were pleasant and professional. Very happy with their work and would highly recommend them.

Chris plastered 5 rooms for me and even went out of his comfort zone to level up the floor for one of our rooms. Chris is an excellent plasterer who is incredibly reliable, tidy and professional. He always arrives on time, does exactly what he initially said he would do when discussing possible work, and he sticks to his initial price quotes and timeframe. He always highlighted any issues and gave me a quote if any additional work was needed. Chris also introduced us to an excellent coving specialist who did a great job. Without Chris and Neil’s help our decoration work would have been a lot harder. I would like to thank both of them for their hard work and a great job done at a reasonable and well-deserved price.

Advice and work done was excellent. He arrived to look at the job when he said and discussed what needed to be done. He sent a quote quickly and did the work as soon as he could (even slotting me in earlier) so I could continue my decorating. The work was done with care and consideration, leaving a superb finish and they cleaned up well afterwards.

Chris plastered our small spare bedroom - he visited to give us a quote and was very clear about what it included (which I always appreciate as it means no nasty surprises). He was thoughtful about not treading plaster around the rest of the house and did a good job. Very considerate to have in our home as well - he did the job over 1-and-a-half days and worked really hard and consistently. Thank you, Chris.

The scope of the work was to skim over existing Artex on hall and landing ceiling. From the initial quote through to completing the work, the service was excellent. Chris was efficient in assessing the job and sending an accurate quote, he committed to a date to undertake the work and delivered work of high quality. They worked hard whilst here and spent time tidying up before they left. The whole service was very professional and hassle-free.

Chris re-plastered a small bedroom and got it done within a few days even though one wall needed much more work than previously anticipated. Chris was knowledgable and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision on what was best for the project and budget. Both he and Vince were very respectful and left everything clean and tidy. Would highly recommend and use again
