The team started and completed in a timely way. They were very professional, polite, and considerate including tidying up debris as they proceeded. The work was on time and kept to budget. This is a family business, with a high quality approach.

James initially came out to quote for the work and we were immediately impressed with his friendly and professional attitude. The guys stripped the current roof, replaced rotten timbers, replaced felt and batons, facias, soffits, guttering and fitted new tiles. All work was carried out to an extremely high standard. The wife and I couldn't be happier with the work done and will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks James and Mark :)

We have recently bought our first house that needed renovating. Mark gave us really good advice and fair pricing. He was very easy to deal with, always taking time to make sure we understood what was being done (as novices this was key for us). He left the site clean and tidy every day after working. Everything was completed to budget and schedule.

I first used Clayton Construction ( Mark Orchard) to resolve a complex roof junction that the original builder and two further roofers had failed to make watertight. Mark redesigned and simplified the junction to make it fully functional. I subsequently asked him to renew six valley gutters on my old roof which he did expertly and very neatly. He is a very knowledgeable roofer and will not take short cuts. One valley gutter required more work than anticipated but he undertook this at no extra cost. When you get him (he is quite busy) he will carry out the work completely before moving on to the next job. He will give you a quote on the spot , describing what needs to be done, and confirm this in writing. His motivation is in doing the perfect job and I have no hesitation in highly recommending him. I believe that Mark Orchard at Clayton Construction saved us money by the way he approached the job. He looked at the problem creatively and this prevented unnecessary work. The work was then carried out efficiently and effectively. If we need builders in the future we would not hesitate in using him again.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Clayton Construction and would certainly use them again. Very impressed with their reliability and their conscientious way of working. They tidied up and kept mess to a minimum. They were adaptable in dealing with the work as unexpected problems arose. All the work was carried out to a high standard.

Thrilled – would be the word we would use to sum up the work done by Clayton Construction. Our roof was old, leaking and has an extension roof, poorly built by the previous owner. When Mark first visited, he was friendly but honest about a number of issues he could see. Issues that no other contractors picked up on or told us about. From commencing work, the guys were punctual, professional, worked hard, obvious craftsmen and perfectionists. Each day they cleaned up and always kept us updated on progress and importantly the issues they had uncovered from the aforementioned poor build. These were quickly addressed. Everything, even window sills and the conservatory roof, was cleaned before they left, and they even returned to replace a couple of broken tiles caused by scaffolding. Amazing care and service. The only slight issue experienced was communication regarding the scaffolding. We didn’t know exactly when the scaffolders would arrive or the need to erect a tower in our neighbours garden. This was an issue when they arrived 20 minutes before we had to leave for work one day. However, they were really helpful and arranged a convenient time to return, giving us the opportunity to speak to our neighbours. Other than that, we were thoroughly impressed by Clayton Construction’s professionalism, work ethic, craftsmanship and pride in their work. We would have no hesitancy at all in recommending this company to anyone. In fact we plan to have them back soon.
