Pro-Tec Roofing & Building Services are a family run business dedicated to providing a first class service for your roofing and building needs. We DO NOT use Sub-contractors as we pride ourselves on the work we carry out and our work is our reputation.
We are registered with NFRC Competent Roofer and provide insurance backed warranty's with all our New work. As members of the competent roofer scheme we are up to date with all building regulations as we have to comply with them by law.Health and safety to the public and ourselves is first priority.Our staff at Pro-tec are updated on any codes of practice and take regular training courses to further their knowledge and skills. We have completed many roofs in London and Kent and have lots of satisfied customers who have recommended us to others. We have 2 teams of Roofers with 2 vans. I am also a city & Guilds qualified carpenter & joiner and I cut and pitch the roofs for our loft conversions.

Kevin responded quickly to my call, came to view the storm damage to my roof, where at least one ridge tile had been blown off our loft extension dormer window, spotted a cracked tile on the main roof that I had not seen, and within days produced a competitive quote. After the storm I expected a long delay to get the work done, but Pro-Tec were working six or seven days a week to get through the workload of recent storm damage. Consequently, after accepting the quote on Friday, the scaffolding was up the following Monday, and Pro-Tec were in the next Saturday morning as Kevin had promised. We were out that day from early morning, but on our return found the dormer roof repaired, additionally, four tiles replaced on the main roof and the hip tile of the main roof had been repointed. The site had been cleared and even the scaffolding had been removed. An excellent job, done quickly with no fuss. Highly recommend.

I picked Pro-Tec Roofing to retile my house, my porch and also to replace the vertical tiles to the front of my home. I got in 3 estimates with the prerequisite criteria that each roofer was accredited with the Confederation Of Roofing Contractors. I selected Kevin at Pro-Tec for the job as from my first meeting with him he displayed a keen eye for minute detail. He was also the only prospective roofer who bothered taking measurements and taking notes. I knew this augured well, and during the works, Kevin's trait for perfectionism was only too evident. Kevin and his crew from day 1 were always polite, professional and very considerate. They tidied daily as the work progressed and it was a pleasure to witness people take pride and enjoy their work. Extra necessary work to roof timbers, new soffit and fascias were calmly dealt with. And the wall abutment flashing on the main roof is the smartest I've seen anywhere! You're never left in any doubt your home is in safe hands with Kevin and his team. I 100% made the correct choice in selecting Pro-Tec Roofing and 100% recommend them if you're looking to replace/repair your roof.

Kevin and the team at Protect did a great job on our extension and kitchen roof which was leaking. We also had him come back to remove our kitchen/diner wall. They were very professional throughout, kept the house tidy, safe and the quality of work was of a high standard. I can't recommend Pro-Tec roofing highly enough and have already recommended to other people.

After a 6 month search to find the right builder, as Which? subscribers, we selected Pro-Tec Roofing & Building Services to carry out this work after reading all the reviews. The works involved a loft conversion with en-suite and the whole roof membrane replacement together with new battens and re-attachment of roof tiles, hips and ridge. The highest quality materials were used which reflected the high standard/quality workmanship. Both the STG Inspector and Architect confirmed this. All the additional trades brought in were of the same standard. They were a great team who left the site neat and tidy. I am happy to say that the build came in on budget with no hidden costs. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Kevin Ritchie and his company to carry out other and similar works.

We spent over 5-6 months looking for, investigating and interviewing builders to undertake our 1st floor rear extension. Eventually we came across Kevin at Pro-Tec Roofing & Building Services Ltd who was recommended to us by a local scaffolding company. While not the cheapest, Pro-Tec Roofing not only came in at a very respectful and competitive price, they provided strong and seasoned advice which clearly indicated they had successful past experiences in the build and process we required. They were able to provide a complete end to end service and were able to offer a completely stress free building experience from start to finish making it possible for my family including 2 young children to safely live within the property while the build was in progress. Pro-Tec Roofing were contracted for 12 weeks to complete the build, yet managed to complete within 6 due to them having a wide range of builder support readily available. All of which are highly punctual well trained long serving members of the team and are kept in line with both Kevin and Tom - who were always patiently available for any line of questioning. The only outsourced contracted areas were scaffolding, plumbing, electrics and plasterers - all of which they have a long and trusted relationships. The materials they used underneath were not cheap run of the mill but were high quality and long lasting along with the professionalism of the fittings which were consistently checked and verified by both Kevin and Tom. Every team member was very polite, and respectful to the home along with always being kept spotlessly tidy at the end of the day. Any unexpected issues that would arise, Kevin or Tom would gracefully handle them internally or if required walk you through the processes, suggest alternatives and provide recommended options. Any up-selling changes or feature creeps were responded to professionally and at excellent costs. As the build progressed, I was happy to put trust into their decisions. Once the build was completed, they didn't just move out and leave you to it afterwards, there was frequent support to ensure all relevant documentation was received, everything left tidy and as it was found with any [minor (as they averted any major)] damages resolved. I would have no problem in recommending Kevin, Tom and team at Pro-Tec Roofing & Building Services Ltd for any roofing and building work and look forward to the time we would have the opportunity to use them again.

I contacted Pro-Tec Roofing and Building Services because I needed a new roof and loft insulation. I chose them over other firms because of a number of reasons: their experience and good reviews for sure but also because Kevin seemed very knowledgeable and professional. I am very happy with my choice: the roof job (including new fascias, soffits , guttering, loft boarding and insulation, new loft hatch and ladder) was finished to an exceptional standard. The quality of workmanship, reliability and attention to detail was beyond my expectations. I decided to bring forward a bathroom refurbishment job that I had planned for later because I had such good builders available. I had a whole bathroom redone with a completely different layout, the job included new pipes, tiling, a new window and a lower ceiling. The bathroom looks amazing, every detail has been finished to a great standard. Kevin and his team were very polite, they tidied up and cleaned at the end of each day, and they were all very nice to work with. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely use Kevin's expertise again.

Kevin and the guys at Protect, did a great job at our house on a loft conversion, so much so that we have started using Kevin/Protec on other projects we have. They were very courteous throughout, kept the house tidy and safe, the quality of workmanship was top draw as well.
