Camping in one tent as a family requires plenty of space, convenience and comfort. If you're squeezed in, uncomfortable and damp, your family holiday can quickly become one you remember for the wrong reasons.

We've tested the best six-person, seven-person and eight-person tents from popular brands such as Vango, Eurohike, Bergaus, Coleman and Quechua to find out which large tents you can rely on for your next camping trip.

Although keeping the wind and rain out of your family tent is of course essential, you'll also need it to provide enough room for everyone to camp comfortably and not be too big a hassle to pitch and pack away. Our tests found big differences in these key areas.
