Chris Gordon, owner and MD of Electricians in Reading, has been spreading the word about his success. Chris and the Electricians in Reading team organised a special event at the Broad Street Mall in Reading, on Saturday 13th August, to celebrate their win at the 2016 Which? Awards.
Chris is incredibly proud that Electricians in Reading are the 2016 Which? Trusted Trader of the Year, feeling that it is recognition for all the hard work he has put in to the business. 'It was a huge pat on the back to say you’re doing the right thing, you’re doing right by your customers and your focus is on the customer,' he said. Taking the award out to show the public seemed like a good way to let everyone in their home town know about their achievement.
On a busy shopping day with over 40,000 people estimated to have made their way through the shopping centre, the Electricians in Reading team arrived early, so they could park their van in the middle of the mall. They set up a stall with balloons, giveaways and most importantly – the Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award.
There was a lot of interest in all the activity and the team managed to sell over 500 charity raffle tickets. Chris and the team used the occasion to raise money for Daisy’s Dream – a local charity, that supports bereaved children. Some lucky shoppers won a digital tablet and Electrician's in Reading branded toy cars, others benefited from free balloons and footballs.
