Not only is Garage Express a Which? Trusted trader, its owner, Jane Russell, is an industry award-winner.
Jane won the 'Contribution to the work of the Institute of Motor Industry' award 2017, in recognition of her work to support the objectives of the Institue of Motor Industry (IMI) and to bring some positive publicity to the motor trade.
The Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) Recognition Awards celebrate individuals and businesses that have worked in some capacity to support the automotive industry and the IMI's ongoing initiative to improve the skills and offerings of the motor trade.
The ceremony was held as part of the IMI Annual Dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel in London on the 8thMarch.
Jane Russell was awarded 'Contribution to the Work of the IMI' following her involvement in a number of the IMI’s activities. These included a collaboration with an ITN production about diversity in the industry, plus further photo shoots at her garages in Kingsbury. In addition, Jane’s businesses became part of the Recognised Employers Scheme for the IMI, meaning she is committed to improving her staff's skills and knowledge in this fast moving industry.
Jane said; “I am truly honoured to have been presented with this award. I really believe in improving the automotive industry and willingly help where I am able to. To have been recognised for this work means so much.”
Jane runs the Which? Trusted Traders approved garage, Garage Express, based in Kingsbury NW London, with her husband, Steve.
