We had a sofa and armchair reupholstered by the Maiorana family, and they did a beautiful job. We chose them based on the five-star reviews - and they certainly deserve five stars. Not only was the workmanship excellent, they were great to deal with from start to finish - friendly, helpful, reliable, and great communicators. We'd definitely recommend them.

We should have thanked you before now for the fine job you've done in reupholstering our Victorian buttonback chair. Everyone admires it, but nobody as much as my wife and me. 30 years ago when we first moved to Trumpington, Alessio re upholstered several pieces of furniture for us. The results were superb and continue to this day. Recently I asked Salvatore to refurbish a massive mahogany sofa that belonged to my grandmother and was in poor condition. He has done a fabulous job and breathed new life into it such that it will certainly outlive us! Salvatore is a true craftsman and keeps the family tradition alive with his skill and professional but easy manner. Highly recommended.

I have a bridgecraft suite which is 50 yrs old, I had had it reupholstered by a local upholsterer and had asked him to respring it as it was 50 yrs old. However after the cushions lost their firmness realised he had not changed the springs. I contacted Majorana and Salvatore came to the house and he was really helpful explaining what would have to be done to make the suite how we wanted it. The settee went first and he found that the springs base was not made any more , not daunted, he kept looking he then found that the manufacturers of the base had changed their name, he rang them explained to them 50 yr old suite,they said send old spring base and they made one to fit at no extra cost. He sorted the valance out which was not straight, gave advice over firmness of cushions . We wanted the suite legs highered which he did. I am highly delighted with the service and advice given they are very knowledgeable and skilled craftsmen and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone wanting items re-covered. Maiorana has done excellent work for us. Most recently they have reupholstered a set of dining chairs and over the years they have stripped back and rebuild a button back Chesterfield sofa and reupholstered armchairs, chair seat pads etc. Always good, knowledgeable and helpful advice and excellent workmanship. Highly recommended.

During the past 20 years or so the Maioranas have done a number of jobs for us. They have covered and filled the cushions of a large sofa. Completely rebuilt and covered a smaller sofa which had been destroyed by our children jumping on it. They have filled, backed and piped numerous tapestry cushions for my wife. Recently they have filled and covered the seats of our Victorian dining chairs. Their work is top class and is always completed on time and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Salvatore originally came to see us because we thought we needed to replace the springs in our sofa, but instead he suggested the cheaper and easier option of getting new, firmer seat cushions. He brought us a sample of the foam so that we could check that we were happy with it, then when we decided to go ahead replaced the existing cushions promptly and efficiently. He was a pleasure to deal with, and we would certainly use his firm again, and strongly recommend them.

We are very pleased with our recent experience with The Maiorana family. They completely renovated a Victorian spoon back chair and an Art Deco Chesterfield. Their standard of workmanship is very high. They gave helpful advice and completed the job efficiently within the timescales we required.We hope to use them again.
