We spent >18 months trying to get our storm-damaged roof repaired, with cursory site evaluations and quotes from multiple roofers, and an aborted attempt or two by workers, who kept dithering about what needed to be done and whether scaffolding would be necessary. Thank heavens for Which Trusted Traders and Armstrong & Armstrong. Hayden conducted an extensive evaluation of the site, from the missing roof tiles to an indoor leak that preceded the storm damage by more than a decade, dating back to a loft conversion. We were amazed by his extensive knowledge, experience, courtesy (even taking off his shoes when he came indoors!), and willingness to explain the repairs. In spite of strong winds and storms in the 2-3 weeks since the repairs, our roof remains strong and intact. Many thanks to Armstrong & Armstrong. Highly recommended.

I wanted to support a local business and was so glad I did. I needed a roof tile replacing. They were happy to come round and give a quote for the job. Quickly returning to fix the tile for me. A friendly and efficient service.

During the recent storms, a neighbour's roof tiles came off and smashed into our sidewall. Hayden was in the area and came round to check, with binoculars, to make sure there was no damage to our roof. Very soon afterwards, he was able to do a further check and clean our gutters, as we requested. We have used this firm before, and always found them to be helpful and reliable, and the standard of their work is good. Definitely recommended.

Used Armstrong & Armstrong to do a flat roof replacement after my initial contractors messed me around for too long over a start date. By contrast Hayden and his guys were keen and quick off the mark, and did a thoroughly excellent job. Very friendly, polite and hard-working. Finished result looks great. Highly recommend them.

I echo all the positive comments that have been made in the other reviews. Our first contact with Hayden was on a day when our extension roof had leaked. He visited us within the hour & explained clearly the reason why it had failed and why the replacement system he would recommend would give us peace of mind. We also asked about replacing other flat roofs together with the gutters & soffits but Hayden gave us honest advice on why that was not necessary at this time. We were very impressed by this attitude and, given our general dissatisfaction with the fibreglass roof that our builder installed previously, we were more than happy to ask for a quote. A detailed estimate arrived promptly &, once accepted, an installation date was agreed. He and his team arrived as expected & once they had done their initial checks Hayden confirmed that there were no nasty surprises. The team were hard-working, friendly & courteous and always prepared to explain what they were doing. The work was completed on time & when I was asked to look at the finished product it was obvious that there was considerable attention to detail. They gave me an opinion on the likely lifespan of our other flat roofs (3 years) but on the back of our positive experience and a wish to pre-empt a problem in the future, we were more than happy for them to replace these now. It goes without saying that our experience the 2nd time round was just as good as before All work done on time & budget. Very impressed.

This company replaced a flat roof on my outside office a number of years ago, did an excellent job for a decent price. Top quality workmanship and friendly decent people. When my flat roof on my bedroom began leaking after thunderstorms in 2019, I didn’t hesitate to call them. Once again an excellent job. Everything fully explained to me and a few extras thrown in ‘just because’. I recommend them to everyone.

The job was done to perfection on a roof not done by Armstrong & Armstrong. There was prompt and pleasant response to my plea for help from Hayden. The work was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget and it was done with great care by his roofer David who took the trouble to show what he was doing and gave me clear explanations. He was very helpful even to the extent of leaving all tidy. Hayden came at the end of the job to make sure I was satisfied which I more than was and still am. In particular its great to have a gutter going to the downpipe as well as an effective hopper. I don't think Armstrong and Armstrong could be bettered. I would highly recommend them as roofers being caring about people as well as roofs.

The response to my phone call was quick and everyone was helpful. Hayden made the initial visit and gave me a quote. The follow up to do the work was within a few days and I can't fault the efficiency. Not only that, but the attention to detail was exemplary. It seemed that the leak did not come from the guttering, but from the overflow from the water tank in the loft, something I didn't realise at the time because I couldn't see the pipe, but we are now reassured that our guttering is clean and working well. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
