Our boiler broke down on a Sunday evening when I was 40 weeks pregnant and planning a home birth. Nightmare! ACE energy were so helpful and had someone out to visit us first thing the next day. Unfortunately our boiler needed to be replaced as it was old and more economical than repairing the faults. The plumber explained clearly the problems and the options available. ACE energy pulled out all the stops, rearranging their schedules etc, so that this could be done as soon as possible for us given the circumstances. The boiler also needed to be moved but the job was completed within the day and we had hot water again that evening. They came back the next day to run some final checks etc. Both plumbers were great and really helpful. I think they were relieved I didn’t go into labour whilst they were here! I’d recommended their service, the company was efficient and very helpful.

When I called Ace, I was anticipating a wait to get an appt for the boiler service but was easily able to get on the following Monday. Simon arrived on time and set about putting the boiler right and then bled the radiators. He very kindly showed me how to do it and left a radiator key with me. Simon also took time to show me how to add water to the heating system if the pressure was down. Very much appreciated his kind and professional manner.

Leaks from toilet

I had engaged ACE to deal with a central heating issue, and when the engineer was there I asked about a leak from the toilet cistern. He explained what had caused the leak (a common problem with that type) and offered to order the necessary replacement part. After that work was done, there was unfortunately slight seepage after he had left. He had to come back twice to fix that but now all is well - I do not blame him for the 3 visits as it was difficult to identify where the seepage was coming from. At all times he was friendly, polite, explained about the problem(s) and wore his anti-infection mask. I would have no hesitation in calling ACE in again to deal with any future problem.

Quick but a little slap dash

We had our dishwasher installed, sealant replaced in a shower and a bath plug fitted. The guy was really nice and the work was carried out in a timely manner but we have had to have them back to fix the dishwasher leak and the bath plug to be tightened and installed the correct way (which wasn't done). Unfortunately they left without telling us so we were unable to check the work.

I had a leaking boiler, no hot water or heating. I called Ace Energy in Bath and they sent an engineer the next morning and everything was fixed. The engineer was wearing a protective mask and was polite and took pains to explain to me what he had found and what he had done to fix the problems.

Company appreciated the urgency of the situation due to a gas safety issue and we were without hot water or central heating. Attended quickly and efficiently and spent many hours on a Friday afternoon until the evening, beyond the call of duty to rectify the situation. We were very impressed by their dedication and the fact they didn’t leave until they got it sorted. Personable and helpful wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company, they were polite, patient, courteous and very kind! Can’t praise them or their tireless attitude to the challenging job in hand, highly enough. Thank you guys! You were brilliant!

We moved into a new house and knew we needed various plumbing bits but after being there a couple of days the boiler stopped working (on a Sunday of course!). We called Ace on the Sunday and they came out the next day. We’re very helpful, fixed the boiler and also checked out all of our other plumbing things we wanted doing and supplied us with a quote within 24 hours. Within a week everything has been completed including a broken toilet flush, broken taps, boiler condensate pipes and a new thermostat. Ace came out very quickly, quoted clearly for everything we asked for and sent quotes via email within 24 hours. They also send email updates of bookings and phone calls before the plumber arrives which is very helpful. Invoices are clear and easy to pay through their online system. They charged us less than quoted when things took less time than expected. The guys who came were all friendly, helpful and gave useful advice on jobseekers thought needed doing but that doesn’t need doing now. Very pleased with the service we’ve had, thanks!

I can't thank this Ace team enough. Our heating system developed an intermittent problem which was difficult to solve. That week we were in sub zero temperatures and the boiler is in a cold garage. They came with a smile each day and tried their best to solve the mystery. Finally there was no option but to replace the boiler. My husband is unwell and Nicola, in the office, made sure someone was with us as a matter or urgency. Everyone worked as a team and showed care above the line of duty.
