Customer reviews

Lacked knowledge about and not interested in repairing their old products
When I called Baxi customer service support team to request an engineer to inspect my malfuncting Potterton Kingfisher Mf 40 boiler I was told they would not send an engineer as my boiler "may contain asbestos". Asbestos was banned from use in manufacturing boilers in 1984. Whilst I do not know when my boiler was installed the User Guide quotes gas Regulations 1996. Potterton is part of the Baxi family so it is concerning that Baxi customer services appear to know so little about their own products or to be interested in providing customer support to their own older models.

I'm sorry to hear about the negative experience you've had when contacting us regarding your Potterton Kingfisher boiler. We would like to speak with you about this, to see how and why you were advised that your appliance contained asbestos in error. We are committed to supporting our appliances for spares and repairs for as long as possible after they cease production, and as you say, it is concerning that this has not been the impression that you were given when you queried. Please email us on customer.relations@baxi.co.uk with your contact details, and one of our case managers will contact you directly to discuss everything. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience you've been caused as a result of this, and look forward to hearing from you.
