We strongly refute these allegations, if the customer had suspected misappropriation of any items this should have been reported to the police and we would have fully cooperated with any investigation. The customer filed a claim for damages, which did not originally include the blankets, and this was promptly reported to our insurance brokers who subequently agreed a settlement with the said customer. We are in the process of obtaining legal advice with regard to these defamatory comments and will be seeking a full retraction of these allegations as a matter of urgency. These comments are a complete misrepresentation of the facts and if the customer had evidence to substantiate these allegations she should have reported them to the relevant authorities for investigation as opposed to using a social medium platform. In the normal course of business damages do occur from time to time and when this happens we seek to expedite a fair and satisfactory remedy working alongside our independent insurance broker. However, we have had no reported incidents of theft and these comments undermine the excellent reputation we have built up over 40 years in business.
