Carpetwrong is the Worst Customer Experience/Diabolical Fitting - Avoid at all costs!
I have to say without a shadow of a doubt that Carpetright, which we now refer to as "Carpetwrong" is probably the worst flooring chain out there. You go in there thinking like any other flooring company, you expect a full service, which they are responsible for. You even pay them an extra £60 as the acting agent, which they don't even tell you about until you're already committed to send you their supposedly vetted fitter. You don't even get to choose who they send you. On top of that, if the fitter doesn't do their job right, it's between you and the fitter and nothing to do with them. Get this, you don't know the fitter's full name, what their company is called and not even what their address is, yet you're the responsible for dealing with their incompetence. So far I have had a botched up screeding service, I've had to remove skirting because of the incompetence of the first fitter not being able to cut a vinyl planks neatly and then getting debris caught in the clear sealant. The second fitter's assistant managed to butcher my door frames and they left the job unfinished. I'm now in talks with a solicitor seeking a full refund. Carpetwrong's response is that it's nothing to do with them. Trading Standards/Consumer Protection have already deemed this as an unfair practice because I never got to choose the fitter. I'm now having to go through Consumer Arbitration because they're refusing to accept any liability for a service not provided. All I can say is... BRING IT ON!!!
