For glue spilt damages on the carpet made by the Holloway Store fitter, Carpetright refused to replace the faulty carpet or make refund compensation

10 Nov 2020: Carpetright carpeted my lounge on 29 Aug 2020. The workdone had lots of lines of bubbles making the carpet surface hilly uneven with fluffs. Door bar workmanship was also poor. The quality and standard for the workdone were unacceptable. Complaint was set up with Customer Service to whom many calls made & emails sent to follow up, but Carpetright made no responses for the faulty issue. I contacted the Holloway Store whose fitters carried out the remedial work. Unfortunately, the fitters have spilt the glue on the carpet during work which seriously damaged the carpet. The fitters tried to clean up the glue spilt but unsuccessful. The texture of the newly fitted carpet was damaged by cleaning. Patches of glue spilt could not be cleaned away but still remaining clearly visible on the carpet. I will not accept this faulty workdone for newly fitted carpet. I have demanded for the replacement of the faulty carpet with a brand new material. However, the Holloway Store Manager has denied the accountability for the faults made by fitters and has refused to replace the faulty carpet. Carpetright kept ignoring the problem for the last two months. I am being put in a detrimental position. Carpetright should comply with trading obligations to resolve its faults with refund compensation to me or replacement of the faulty carpet with brand new material. Highly stressed, I would rather get the refund to end such ordeal irresponsibly caused but not resolved by Carpetright.

We had the whole house fitted with new carpet. Workers we very tidy and helpful. Only criticisum is they did not accpet American express.
