Chris Matthews Landscapes

Chris and his team have just completed laying our patio to our back garden. I couldn’t be happier with the service and end result. Chris is very professional and knowledgable giving us ideas about what would work best in the planning of the patio. His team of three other guys always arrived on time and worked hard and always very polite. Best workmen I’ve come across. They were always very helpful and no request or change was an issue. Chris’s work is excellent and I would definitely recommend him and his team and would have him back for other garden projects.

Chris and his team arrived punctually to install 2 lengths of picket fencing to form boundaries for our front garden. The work was quickly undertaken in a most professional manner, without damage to plants and leaving the site in a clean condition at the end of the job. The materials used were of a high quality: solid promised fence struts attached to 4''x4'' wooden posts which were concreted into the ground. I have no reservations in recommending Chris to anyone considering having garden structures installed.

Front garden and walls were an absolute mess. Lots of concrete and horrible paving slabs. Very unsightly. Removed all the concrete and slabs in a day. Weak walls were rebuilt to a much higher standard. Now solid on good foundations and look really good, exactly what we wanted. Took the time to find a supplier for the raj green sandstone slabs for drive which he laid on a wet mix. Very good quality topsoil and turves. Made very good practical and aesthetic suggestions but also listened to what we wanted as customers. We are really, really pleased with how it now looks. If we are in front garden passers by often comment on how nice it looks. Trustworthy and tidy.

Work was started on time and completed within timescales. Chris and his team (Tony & Sean) were a delight to work with. Polite, friendly and willing to give advice and feedback when asked. They showed pride and professionalism in the work and we were delighted with the outcome. Now we have been doing some more planting it is looking even better. Could not have asked for more.

Chris Matthews is an approachable, friendly landscape & paving contractor. He had a professional approach in providing an estimate, agreeing timescale to commence work, and gave accurate duration of how long the project would take. Both Chris and his workforce were reliable and quality of work was very good. I gave him further work to install irrigation system which he carried out quite well. Chris returned without fuss to complete minor defects., shortly after completion. In fact, he returned a year later to help with a minor problem with the irrigation system.

Chris and his team worked really hard on our garden which was in a state due to having building works done. The team were prompt, polite and delivered what we asked for in the timescale that Chris said it would be done in. I would highly recommend Chris and his team

Chris and his workers did a very good job. They worked quickly and got everything done well. Chris also gave me some good advice at the beginning as I didn't really know what to do with the whole garden. His suggestion really worked and the garden looks so big now. There is still some stuff left to be done but I have time to think about what I really want.

Chris, in a helpful and friendly way, planned a new fence for our front garden. This was expertly and efficiently erected by Peter with the help of Jay. A nice fence which sets off our garden. Job well done and good value.
