My 30+ year old boiler had it's final breakdown on Wednesday morning. A quote was given that evening and by Friday afternoon we had a replacement installed, the system flushed and heat reinstated. Despite one or two air bubble issues we now have a warmer house than I've experienced since moving in 13 years ago. The installers, Martin & Jack, were cheerful, friendly and very respectful of our house and dogs. I wish I'd contacted them sooner and will definitely call them to update some remaining old radiators.

Our boiler was serviced by Clarity Heating recently. The office staff were very helpful in accommodating a suitable day when we could be at home and sent us a text the day before as a reminder. The engineer turned up on time, was polite, tidy, respected our property and knew his stuff. He even advised us on another issue we asked him about. Will book them again next year.

I contacted Clarity Heating along with another local firm, and was very impressed when Gary was able to come and assess the job - a complicated one - in a few days, and to supply a full and reasonable estimate a couple of days later. As I had no heating (my old boiler being inoperable), I was relieved when he could start the next week. Promptly at 8 am Martin, Jack and Rochelle arrived and began work. They worked flat out for four days, without complaining, and with very little time for breaks. They always tidied up before they left for the day, A smoker always retired to the garage when they needed a cigarette. When I had to go out and was not back before they left one day, Roshelle drew the curtains and left lights on so that the house looked occupied, as they did not have a key to lock up with, for which I was very grateful. When Martin , the last to leave, finally finished, everything was looking beautifully, and the house felt warm at last! Thank you for a job well done.

Vince remained patient and updated my quote for re-siting and replacing the boiler, removing the old rads re-running the pipework and resiting new rads and replacing the shower unit. Excellent result for a large and difficult re-plumb of both the old house and extension. Very happy with final result and Vince and his team were very good. Anthony came to complete works and fitted extra accumulator and completed water softener pipework and his work was very tidy and competent too. Would add that Vince was very fair on the extras that were involved as is inevitable on a big job, and charged these fairly pro-rata unlike our experience with other trades. Well done, happy to give a reference to others if required

The Clarity engineer arrived exactly on time to perform an annual boiler inspection and service. We knew we had a thermostat reporting an error and this was diagnosed to be replaced. The replacement was duly ordered and a return visit to fit the faulty new part scheduled for this Friday morning. Fantastic service by Clarity as usual, with a helpful and pleasant engineer and always friendly support from the back office.

One minor issue is that the engineers should set the controls back to where they originally found them after completing the test, avoiding a cold shower the next day!

Clarity heating service our boiler on a yearly basis and then I call on them for any minor (hopefully) emergency in between. They always say a date and time and stick to it, even during lockdown! The only thing you have to chase them for is an invoice. Great Firm would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

First service on our Viessman gas boiler

The new gas boiler was installed a year ago, and i need to say that it has not failed us all year, also the gas consumption has been reduced by abour a half compared with our previous boiler. The Engineer arrived on time to service the boiler, worked efficiently through the process and shared details of the tests as they he progressed through the various stages. Needless to say as expected the boiler was given a clean bill of health, which was confirmed by Service Certificate which was recieced the next day. Very pleased with the installation last year and the service this.

Clarity Heating recently completed installation of oil central heating in my house, from the initial site visit from Vince to completion of the job I received outstanding customer service from reliable, professional and polite staff. In particular Billy who was here every morning before 8am and did a fantastic job starting with the removal of very old electric storage heaters, before starting the installation. All rubbish and the old heaters, old hot water tank etc were removed from my house on completion. Subsequent telephone calls to the company have been answered promptly and politely from very friendly helpful staff. All work was completed within the scheduled timeframe. I would highly recommend this company.

I had a new Viessman boiler plus a new immersion heater and water tank installed by Clarity Heating. This was all done very quickly and efficiently between 3-4 June 2020. After a couple of teething problems it has run smoothly these past two weeks with no problems. Although I shall not need to use it until the late Autumn an EPH Combipack remote thermostat heating control came with it. However its accompanying instructions I found limited, but there is an excellent explanation on its use in Facebook. A job well done and like everyone else I can thoroughly recommend Vince Rudgewick and his team.

I hired Clarity to replace my gravity fed system with a Viessmann 100-W combi boiler. Every representative of the company I dealt with at every stage was highly professional and knowledgeable. In particular, the heating engineer who performed the installation, Mark, was extremely knowledgeable, and was able to explain in detail how the job was to be done and why. The job was completed on time and to a high standard. They cleaned up afterwards and took reasonable precautions regarding COVID-19, such as maintaining distance and using a disinfectant spray on areas they had touched. Communication was another strong point. I got prompt replies whenever I asked them to get back to me, and never felt I had to chase them, which is more than I can say about some heating and plumbing companies I have dealt with. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone.

Mending combi boiler during lockdown

I'm working from home during lockdown. I woke up on Wednesday morning to find my boiler had died - no heating, no hot water. It's a complicated set-up with underfloor heating. I emailed Clarity Heating and received an email back with the hour for a provisional appointment on Friday morning. Mark turned up as booked, despite the pressures caused by limited staff in these difficult times, diagnosed the problem quickly, rectified it and showed me how to initiate this reset myself if something similar happens again. Clarity Heating are always quick, clean and efficient - and a delight to talk to as well. I now have heating as the weather has turned cold and can carry on working. Full marks.

The engineer came exactly on time and completed the work efficiently and with a minimum of fuss and took time to explain some of the boiler features. The boiler area was cleaned afterwards to a high standard so job completed on schedule and the price was what had been quoted earlier. The subsequent report on the boiler was very detailed and comprehensive, much as you would get from the MOT report from a Car Main Dealer. As the work was only done last week I cannot comment on aftercare issues.

Work done: Isolate heating system electrically. Drain heating system. Cut a drain off cock into ground floor heating circuit. Replace 6 thermostatic radiator valves. Check for leaks. All work was done quickly, no mess in fact I forgot plumber was here at one point. The plumber was friendly and easy to speak to. Plumber was very aware of the Coronavirus and we kept more than 6ft apart. Plumber carried own disinfectant.

We have never used Clarity before but they were recommended by someone whose opinion we trusted. We agreed to have our boiler replaced, hot water cylinder and overhead water tanks removed. This was before the Corona virus -19 took a hold. We agreed a date and a schedule of 3 days, beforehand. Budget agreed. What made the trader stand out? The very honest but businesslike way the inspection and estimate was made, promptly followed by a very accurate quote. The 2 engineers arrived on time and on date. They proceeded efficiently, cleanly and worked hard the whole of day 1. They broke the back of the task and said it would be completed the next day. It was, but with just one man. We were consulted before they undertook difficult decisions and all the time observed the social distancing we asked for. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. I can't recommend this trader enough. 5/5.

On accepting a date for work was agreed and Garry and Jack turned up 8.00am. They were very clean workers and kept inconvenience to a minimum. There was no rubbish left when they finished work. When Viessmann gave me details on Clarity Heating, I first talked to Paul about quote he checked what needed doing for the installation of my new boiler and had inspection on if any problems would be encountered. Then contacted Annette to arrange, which was done on the Thursday. Agreed timescale of fitting. The boiler was fitted on the Monday by Gary and jack who were very professional on their removal of boiler and flue and the fitting of new boiler and new flue location. Very good job done by all team I have dealt with would really recommend.

Overall I had a very good experience with Clarity. The initial visit to spec the job was good and the quote very competitive. I had to get Gas to my house and that took some time but they still honored the original quote. I The actual install of the central heating system was fast and the people doing it were excellent and kept me informed as they did the work. There was an issue with a slight leak as a pipe had been routed incorrectly but it was put right quickly with little fuss and these things can happen. Overall a good company to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a company to install central heating. Lovely warm house now.

Clarity installed our Viessmann boiler last year in advance of a large renovation project. Their knowledge of energy-efficient weather compensated systems, and other methods of reducing consumption and providing flexible heating for a large home persuaded us to use them, and we're very pleased with our purchase although we've only been able to use the hot water system so far. We turned to Clarity again when we were unhappy with the way our loft fitters had installed the hot water feeds to the upstairs bathrooms; they diagnosed the problems and fixed them quickly, resulting in almost instant hot water throughout the house. We then asked Clarity to fit our downstairs radiators after the ground floor had been renovated; they were very helpful in fitting around our lengthy, still-chaotic project and in giving us good ideas when we were still quite indecisive. We enjoy our interactions with all the staff and trust them to give us good advice and to turn up on time and finish the job well. The proof will be in the pudding once winter comes and we see how well the weather comp system works for us, but I'm quietly confident based on Clarity's performance and intelligent support to date.

The plumber came at short notice when my external combi boiler was failing to ignite the oil, which meant I had no hot water or central heating. He arranged to come on Saturday afternoon to fit in with my availability but didn't charge a premium rate. From my explanation of the problem over the phone he was fairly sure he knew what was wrong and came with a new photocell for the burner unit. He replaced the photocell and showed me the damaged old one. He was very quick, efficient and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to others without hesitation.

I first used Clarity when they installed a new boiler for me in Feb 2018 and flushed out the system. I chose them because of their great reviews, and also because they gave the most competitive quote! The job was done really well and we haven't had a single problem with the boiler. I then asked them to carry out some additional work at the end of last year - installing two new radiators, and hooking another up to an existing radiator as it wasn't working (due to crushed pipework below the flooring). I did have some issues with this one as the pipework wasn't very neat, but the person who did it has now left the company, and Vince came out and fixed it himself immediately - he was very apologetic. It looks great now. I'd also like to mention how friendly everyone is - the customer service is amazing. I've had awful experiences with tradespeople in the past but this is a company I really do trust.

As part of a bigger job, our ancient back boiler had to be replaced by a new boiler, underfloor heating pipes laid down, and 3 radiators replaced. I wanted optimal controls for the system to operate as efficiently as possible. When discussing the job with Vince I was delighted to find out Clarity Heating are actually proper heating engineers with much more knowledge and understanding about heating systems than your average plumber. Engineers showed up on time (or ealier) to do all the various jobs in preparation, they were all very likeable people. When contacting the office to talk the remaining jobs through they were all very well aware of what needed doing. Not all tradespeople work this way! Mark really went the extra mile when commissioning the system, staying until 20:30 and then coming in the next day again to finish the last details. The resulting system works extremely well, keeping the house nice and warm while consuming a minimal amount of gas.

As I wanted a Viessmann boiler, their website directed me to Clarity Heating, who took care of the entire job of removing the 20+ year old back boiler and installing a new Vitodens 200. They advised me well on the choice of boiler and controls, they clearly set out what was required, worked to specification and honoured the quote with no "surprises", including refunds for all parts not used. Vince and Mark really know their stuff, they are proper heating engineers with a deep understanding of heating system design for maximum efficiency and comfort. As the boiler is part of a whole house eco-retrofit, this was exactly what I was looking for. Although their quote was not the lowest, I have no regrets as they did a quality job in all aspects. The office communication is excellent. They arranged for engineers to appear when needed, and they were all very friendly and did a neat job. Mark really went the extra mile to get the system up in time, and the boiler and controls are top notch with many very clever features. Very happy customer.

We recently had a new boiler fitted by Clarity Heating. We were very impressed with the level of professionalism from all the members of the team that we dealt with. Their communication with us was excellent, they were very friendly and sensitive to our needs. Initially, the engineer flushed out our central heating system and left the heating on whilst doing so, which enabled us to stay warm. Next the boiler was fitted. On our request, the Engineer fitted the new fuel filter internally to preserve a plant in our garden. Also, as the boiler is sited in a single skin brick garage, he ensured that the flue was positioned to our liking. There was an electrical earthing issue which the Electrical engineer resolved very quickly the following morning. The job was done to a high standard, the agreed schedule and budget. We felt that all members of the team dealt with us with integrity and we highly recommend them.

Used Clarity for oil fired boiler replacement which involved removing the old one and installation of the new one in a different location due to type of boiler needed. Also a new hot water cylinder. The engineers were friendly and clearly knew what they were doing. Things mostly went smoothly despite the relocation not being without its challenges and there were a couple of post installation issues mainly to do with valves, but Mark came straight out on both occasions and resolved without any fuss, including a visit well outside normal working hours. Its been over a month now and all seems absolutely fine. I paid exactly what was originally quoted, not the cheapest quote we had but Vince gave me more confidence than the cheaper firm when he came out to quote. It is highly likely I will use clarity again in the near future for some electrical work which also needs doing.

Clarity Heating do my boiler service and other plumbing works at my home, and our rental property. They have just done a great job replacing shower unit which broke down in our rental property over the bank holiday weekend, so I was really pleased to have the job done so promptly and well.

We needed a new boiler and additional radiator fitted at a small village church. Clarity Heating were recommended to us as a professional company with experience of the type of installation that we required. Clarity Heating visited the church and provided advice and recommendations on the best options to meet our requirements. We selected a high specification combination boiler which was fitted after the system was power flushed. The new radiator was installed with new TRV's on the existing radiators and a programmable thermostat was fitted to the system. The work was carried out at the scheduled time and was completed to a high standard. We are very pleased with the installation and would have no hesitation in recommending Clarity Heating for any central heating requirements. Great service and highly recommended.

Fitted a new combo boiler and 2 new radiators. Work was completed in the time that was quoted for and at the cost quoted. Extremely happy with the level of workmanship as the boiler had to be moved from a cupboard into the airing cupboard, the hot water cylinder and tank from the loft was also removed and new flume fitted.
