I am a fully qualified Carpenter and Joiner with 32 years experience. I have been self employed since the age of 21. For the past 25 years I have run my own business undertaking projects such as renovation, high level bespoke joinery and high end kitchen fitting. I have also undertaken design and build projects both on a residential and commercial basis.
I am an extremely hardworking and reliable person who is capable of performing most roles within a working environment. I am extremely versatile and capable, undertaking bespoke projects, both large and small. I am equally comfortable working individually or as part of a team. I am punctual, good at time keeping and particular in keeping the working environment clean and tidy at all costs.

Pete was recommended to me by a friend and did not disappoint. He built two new wardrobes for us and installed a number of new doors. Aside from his workmanship, which is exceptional, he is utterly reliable and honest, including giving us advice on the best options (which reduced the amount of work for which he could charge). Quotes turned around quickly, everything always kept tidy. A real gem (thanks Pete). We will be using him for all of our carpeting needs from now on.

Following an extensive (and fruitless) search, Pete of Classic Interiors was recommended to me. From day 1 I was impressed with his manner and attention to detail. When he said he would do something it was done. Despite the totally unprofessional attitude of one the main suppliers (B&Q - my choice) Pete went out of his way to still bring the project home on time and within budget. When we started I thought the price was on the high side but having observed the effort and the subsequent results I had to rethink and truly came to appreciate that you do indeed get what you pay for. Every time Pete and his van turn up on time. I first used him to replace the interior doors, and because of his good craftsmanship and good service, I decided to let him do the staircase and under the stairs, the WC door and the kitchen sink etc. The work all finished in a very high quality. The price he quote was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

From the first point of contact and the initial quote for work, Pete has been a pleasure to deal with. He spent a lot of time with us quoting for the first part of the job - replacing rotten wall plates and joists for a suspending timber floor - answering many questions, some not directly connected to the work, along the way. He completed the work to a high standard in a timely manner. He has since replaced the wooden flooring and skirting boards throughout the ground floor. He has had so much time for us, providing quotes or contacts for other various jobs, and again, more general advice about various jobs going on around the house. He has been a pleasure to deal with, always courteous and helpful. Moreover the work completed has been to a high standard. Thoroughly recommended!

We used Classic-Interiors to upgrade our existing kitchen. Most of the work was done in our absence. From the outset Peter gave excellent advice regarding sourcing and choosing components and materials. When we returned from our absence the work had been completed to a high standard, and Peter returned as promised to put some final touches to the kitchen. E.g. we hadn't chosen the colour of the mastic so he couldn't complete it until later. We have since used him for other tasks and each time he has proved as good as our first experience. Throughout Peter's a great person to deal with.

Pete recently installed some solid oak skirting and picture rail for an Edwardian property we are restoring. Even before quoting he gave us excellent advice on how to prime the materials to ensure the best finish, and explained the options for us in terms of filling or dowelling the skirting. He was unphased when the materials were delayed (the supplier's fault, not his) and in fact came to do the work over the weekend so as not to delay. The work itself is of a very high standard, with a significantly better finish that in another room in which we had another carpenter install the same skirting. I will be using Pete again for the rest of the woodwork in the house, and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
