Gary installed and treated a new front door for us. He was absolutely brilliant. He kept us fully informed throughout the process, always contacting us when he said he would and turning up punctually to complete the work. His workmanship was excellent and he was very neat and tidy. He quoted us a price at the start of the process and kept to that price, not expecting any payment until the work was completed. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Gary Coffey has done two jobs for me: a window sill repair and fitting a new front door. His work is careful and meticulous with great attention to detail. His pricing was very reasonable and he was scrupulously tidy while he worked. He always responded quickly to messages and was pleasant to have around. He was punctual and worked steadily till the jobs were done. All in all a very good experience and I hope he will be available for future work

Gary project managed full kitchen refit with B&Q units, including new ceiling and floors. Very thoughtful and tidy and excellent quality. We were so pleased that we have subsequently got him to clean out and remodel our filthy loft into a great storeroom which we are very pleased with. Highly recommended.

I found Gary on Trusted Traders. First impressions, I was left feeling as though he knew his trade, professional, genuine, that the repairs were manageable, and fixable. Felt reassured. I had a short timeline and I did this via an Insurance Claim. He examined photos, worked to tender, then did an onsite survey, providing a quote the following day and started the job the following week. (I held him up by obtaining other quotes which he had no issue with). I chose Gary for his all round professionalism and timings. The Job. Chasing walls, (neat tidy clean - used plastic sheeting), installed Helix Bars, used EML, secured structures to walls, sand and cement compound cover, made good all walls and painted. Seamless job unnoticeable. Clean, professional, efficient, on time, on budget, to schedule, man of his word, over and above. Great finish, great workmanship (all of team). Completed as agreed and as per quote, great communication (best tradesman I have ever worked with). No negatives to report on this job. Superb. Aftercare - too soon, but he provided advice of flooring, fixed carpets, cleared garden, hung fallen fence, fixed sealant in bathroom and left me PPE for free (that's a first). Needed a survey report for the Insurers, provided that in hours. He hired a skip and we shared the cost, he paid for most of it and I used most of it. Have since recommended him to my family members. Stand out performance! Would use him again. Most definitely. Big thanks to Gary and his team.

I found Coffey Construction on Trusted Traders and can wholeheartedly recommend the company. They are friendly, professional and meticulous. Gary and his team took out an old floor and relayed with laminate, removed a brick cupboard, re-boarded and plastered, fitted a new shower screen and shower hose, plumbed in a new washing machine and made safe a socket and re-instated into the wall. All waste was removed and safely disposed of and the property was left clean and tidy at the end of the day. The initial invoice was detailed and clear. Gary provided invaluable advice on product selection and was very helpful in solving problems as they arose. He always communicated clearly and provided updates on a daily basis. Workmanship exceeded all expectations in terms of timeliness and quality and I will continue to use Coffey Construction in the future.

Gary came along to give me a quote and was able to complete the majority of the work the following week. The job was to remove old doors and fit three new oak shaker doors and door furniture, take out an existing doorframe in my hallway, then box in the brickwork, an exposed pipe and electric meter junction box, as well as plastering the area ready for decorating. The work also entailed fitting new skirting boards, repairing/replacing floor tiles, and fitting a new threshold bar to cover up the join between the porch tiles and laminate flooring in the hallway. Gary was friendly and polite, turning up on time every day and was very methodical, making sure that each task was done to the highest quality and standards. He worked hard throughout each day, cleaning up as he went along and listened carefully before completing any new task to ensure that I was happy with his work and also offered advice on other building aspects when necessary. When a problem arose with the bathroom lock, where the supplier sent the wrong mortice lock, Gary was not fazed by it and went that extra mile to rectify the problem, by ordering a new lock for me and coming back a few days later to finish the job. I would thoroughly recommend Gary to anybody who needs a skilled craftsman and will be calling him again when I need any more work done.

Gary came to carry out an in-depth survey of my current staircase. He asked to see the wood cladding I had chosen. Many other carpenters had told me how difficult it would be. Gary explained in detail exactly what he was going to do, what he equipment I needed to do the job. He provided me with a prompt quote. When he started the job he laid everything outdid all the tracing cut and numbered the pieces and then laid before staining the wood and finishing it. I have to say the stairs are fantastic. It’s exactly as I imagined, everyone who has seen them comments on how fantastic the stairs look. I am so glad I found Gary for this job, if I have another job he would be the first person I would go to and if I had to wait a few weeks then I would wait. Trust me he is worth it.
