About
I have over 30 years experience in telecommunications, starting out as an apprentice with BT, and I have been a freelance engineer for over 20 years.
I carry out all types of domestic and business telecoms-related work:
- Tracing and rectifying faults, especially broadband problems and wifi coverage issues
- Moving lines and sockets, renewing, re-routing, tidying or removing wiring during home renovation, window replacement etc.
- Installation of Cat 5e and Cat 6 network cabling
- Installation of additional telephone points
- Installation and maintenance of Panasonic telephone systems

David sorted out my previously baffling and unsightly telephone cabling and relocated the router and master socket to a much better position, resulting in a good and reliable broadband connection throughout the house and even into the garden. Cabling and sockets were replaced neatly. David completed the work in the time estimated and on budget, he was very helpful and explained clearly what he was doing. I would definitely call on David again for any future work.

David installed a WIFI system for us about four years ago. I was delighted with the work and I am leaving a review to commend David for his continued support of us. His system has worked brilliantly for us and he continues to be available for any query or for help when needed. In this case a switch over heated in the hot weather and we needed to replace it. He responded to my request for help within minutes and got us up and running again incredibly quickly. I can't recommend either his installation service or his after care highly enough - it is outstanding.

I wanted to replace the powerline adaptors used to connect my TV box to the internet with a direct hardwired connection. The problem was my router was connected to the BT master socket in a hall cupboard and it wasn't practical to run a wire from there. David provided excellent advice on how to resolve the problem which involved connecting a data link from the BT Hub to an existing phone socket in the lounge and then hardwiring the TV box to this. He carried out the work in a speedy and professional manner leaving the area clean and tidy. I found David to be punctual, courteous and professional and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services.

I needed wired internet in my house and stronger WiFi. David designed, supplied and installed a CAT6 wired solution to 5 rooms in the house and boosted the WiFI. He tested everything and cleared up. David rerouted the internet connection to my house from the outside and installed a new master socket inside. This means that all my living room devices can plugin directly to my router using ethernet cables, reducing the wifi demand on it. He also removed the old cable, which was an internal cable used for an outside connection, and related sockets. He is a real gem and understood the problem I faced and provided me with a quote and his availability. He is a qualified engineer with decades of experience and great knowledge of existing and upcoming changes to the phone/internet network.
