I asked Dean Watts Heating Solutions to install a new oil boiler and tank in April 2018. The boiler was fitted and I visited my house on the evening of installation. Dining room left covered in soot and dirt, no attempt to clear up and debris left on my drive. After a short while, my neighbour complained to me that there had been damage to his property. When removing the tank there had been a large spillage of kerosene onto his land which had resulted in two trees dying and also damage to his law. I spoke to the trader about this and he said that there must have been a spillage when removing the tank and that I could contact his Insurers. In fact I reconfirmed this tale to him by email and he did not correct me. I have email correspondence with the trader where is reconfirm our phone calls saying that his employees caused the damage. However, after a few months the Insurers denied the claim as the trader informed them that while he was 'off site' the 30 yo tank and boiler were stolen by someone and they caused the spillage. At no point did the trader inform me or the Police that this had happened. I am now in a position that a claim may be made on my Home Insurance by my neighbour costing me an excess and also increasing my premium. My house was also left filthy by his workmen.

Liam Im sorry this is how you feel we have worked with yourself and my insurers to help you with the kerosene that was spilt from your existing oil tank over the past 6 months no untruths were made in my statement to my insurance company and my company was found not responsible as it was removed from your land by a third party I have been in constant contact with you over this issue answering emails on a daily basis whilst even on my family holiday last summer so I find your review a little bit harsh regarding the mess that was left within the house may I apologise for this had it brought to my attention at the time of the works last April it would have been dealt with and those responsible spoken to if you need any help moving forward regarding any other matters please do not hesitate to contact me

Originally he and his colleagues installed our boiler and overhauled our heating system many years ago. Since then he was serviced our boiler annually and all continues to work well. Three is a little lower because it always seems difficult to get a hold of him to make an appointment for a visit. This contact needs to be improved, but he does work hard for a lot of customers.
