We would like to introduce you to Dee Cee Upholstery and Interior’s World of Comfort.
Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.
We have also won local and national awards for exceptional customer service.

We have an antique chair which has been the family for many decades, and which was looking and feeling tired. DeeCee have done an excellent refurbishment job on the chair, transforming it, and done so in promptly, in about 10 days.

We specialize in traditional antique re-upholstery and use original skills passed on through the ages. The chair was reupholstered in soft chenille, when working on antique upholstery we always use traditional fillings such as horsehair and cotton linter felt i.e. no foam.

I commissioned Dee Cee to repair and reupholster my grandfather's old rocking chair and some more modern dining chairs and they have done a superb job. Karen helped me decide on the right fabrics from an impossibly large array of options and they look perfect now the chairs are done and home. Derek showed great attention to detail on the work, as well as providing a super-efficient collection and delivery service. They only take the chairs away when they are ready to do the work, and the project was complete within a week. The finished chairs are a world away from what they were and are a real enhancement to my home now. Thank you Dee Cee!

Hi thank you for your positive review , you brought in a round stool top which you had made your self . We up-upholstered your stool top with the best quality fire retardant high density foam ,you chose a burgundy red chenille that we self piped to the top edge . A full overhaul and recovering of a three piece suite, restoring it to the same brand new condition as when we bought it nearly twenty years ago. Done quickly within the time estimated and delivered when agreed. The whole process from original visit to delivery went very well. They also supplied furniture for us to use whilst the job was being done. Cost was very similar to a big national company, so it was good to go local.

Which I am sure that you agree gives you great value for money. Since 1978 we have always gone the extra mile by providing our customers with "courtesy chairs "to use whilst your furniture is in our care, and you are left sitting comfortably.

I couldn't replace my kitchen chairs as they didn't do them anymore so got them recovered and they are as good as new - really pleased. Also feel virtuous and better for environment to redo than throwing away

Re - upholstery is one of the oldest forms of recycling now called up cycling . and saves a trip to the dump , and less going to landfill.

We had a chair and ottoman reupholstered in a 'designer guild' fabric. The chair was brand new from loaf. The chair is better than new with more plump cushions and a more luxurious feel. Customer service is second to none. You really feel in the hands of masters.

Sofas better than new!

We had 2 sofas 15 years old & they were a little tired in particular the material although we loved the style & size. Throughout the whole process, Derek & his team made it easy from going through fabrics to the end result. The workmanship far exceeded our expectations. We opted for firmer seat cushions & all new scatter backs. Our sofas are now unique & better than new. You need to remember that upholstery isn’t a cheaper option to buying new but what you get is far better in quality of padding, comfort & material & that will stay looking great for longer. Having looked at new sofas the quality isn’t there. We now have two beautifully unique pieces. I was originally recommended this company from a family member who had new arm covers made for her sofa & I have to say it’s the best decision I made going with Dee Cee, I will also be recommending them on.

We required a cushion for our bench in the kitchen. Dee Cee Upholsterers created a quality cushion that will take years of use without showing wear and tear as the manufacture process was very thorough. Quite expensive but a excellent product.

We supplied a top-quality 3" fire retardant foam cushion interior which was wrapped in polyester and stockinet lining for your bench seat. The cushion was made with a box self piped edging fitted with a zip. As with anything quality comes at a price. We are pleased that you gave us a 5-star rating for quality and you stated that it was an excellent product. At this point, I would like to thank you for your email received on 28/09/21. " I Just would like to say thank you for making my seat cushion. I am so pleased with the quality of workmanship and the time it took to make it. It looks fantastic and I appreciate the effort taken to complete it, with the material that you were given. I love it"

Derek came to assess what was required and quoted to re-plump the leather seat on my chair, which was very compressed, and also replace the webbing, as well as plump the back as well. They collected it, completed the work and returned it in 10 days. I asked for the seat cushion to be firm and am delighted with the result. In addition, they called to say that the work took less time than expected, so reduced the price they originally quoted, which was a pleasant surprise. Very efficient and professional company, who also offer a warranty on their work.

When I paid a visit to quote for the job in hand, the electric recliner chair leather seat needed to be stripped out to the base frame and be reupholstered. Using a firm fire retardant high resilient foam interior, and whilst we had the chair in our workshop we put extra padding in the back. Thank you for your excellent review
