Hello and welcome to my profile, my name is Andrew Denton, I will take care of all your electrical needs in the home or workplace. I specialise in domestic and commercial electrical installation maintenance and testing. I have over 15 years experience as an electrician and I am an N.I.C.E.I.C. graded supervisor. I undertake all aspects of electrical works in the home or business and I believe in a top quality job for a reasonable price without any hidden charges.

I started Denton Electrical in 2010 after having worked for a couple of small family run electrical businesses, where I learnt that traditional values along with a sense of respect and fair play are what builds a truly sustainable and successful company. I have built my business on this idea.

I contacted Andy for advice to upgrade our old consumer unit, repair existing security lighting and remove some electrical wiring from an obsolete shower. He visited promptly and outlined exactly what was required which was followed up quickly with a quotation for the work. On the day of the installation he arrived at the time agreed and explained the procedures especially regarding the safeguarding of sensitive electrical equipment while the electrical supply was off and then switched on / off during the final testing period. Andy was polite and very thorough in his work he also cleaned up neatly and removed all the old materials. I would definitely use his services again and recommend him to other clients.

We contracted Andy to install outdoor electrics. When assessing to job Andy checked the regulations and sought our input to make sure what we wanted could be done correctly. On the day Andy turned up when he said he would, and adhered to social distancing throughout his time at our property. The end job was neat, and Andy tidied up afterwards. He explained what he had done and the constraints of the supply installed. The appropriate paperwork was handed over. Payment was due following completion of the job. I waited a week before leaving a reply - everything working as expected. I'd have no hesitation in using Andy again.

We had to get a new cooker during lockdown as ours broke down, so needed help installing it. I found Andy via this website and chose him because the reviews were excellent and he was near to us. He arrived promptly, as arranged, and suitably protected with mask etc. I found Andy very professional, polite and efficient. I felt at ease letting him into the house (the first non-family person to have been in since March) and he maintained proper distancing throughout. Andy is quite clearly experienced and competent and his charges were very reasonable (a lot better than the suppliers would have wanted for the work). I was able to pay online too. I will definitely use Andy again if I need any other electrical work done in our home so have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Andy has completed extensive work in 3 flats for us, making good many faults to award certificates for rental purposes. This included electrics for kitchen and bathroom renewal in all flats. I highly recommend Andy as an excellent, likable and reliable person in every way. All our dealings with him have been clear, straightforward, businesslike and yet friendly. He cracks on with the job with a steady focus and determination, exudes confidence and is unfazed by problems. He co-operate smoothly with other workers and is very adaptable. We will be using his services again.

We had Andy round to change all our halogen spots to LED spots and upgraded our consumer unit. From beginning to end Andy was exceptionally polite and professional. He explained the work that would need to be done and clearly outlined our available options. The quote was also very reasonable and communication throughout was superb. Andy's work was excellent, he was neat, tidy and very efficient. One of the LED lights did suffer from a bit of a fault a couple of months later - I simply contacted Andy and he came right round and replaced the faulty LED straight away - again, communication regarding this follow up was great. Overall I would highly recommend Andy, we will be using him for all future electrical works we need doing (in fact, we have already booked him in for the next job!)
