My Samsung american fridge freezer fridge stopped working and was displaying a temp. Of 32c on the indicator. I spoke to samsung who referred me to Domex. They told me they could get an engineer there to do a diagnostic visit for £52 and then we would know what the fault was. I was advised that I then needed to have parts ordered to fix the problem and that these parts had take 5 to 10 working days and after that they could book in the repair engineer. He arrived fitted the parts one of which was wrong and then declared that another part was required to get the fridge working at an additional charge of £32. I told them that had I known initially that the costs would mount to this level, my choices would have been different. Up to you they said, we can come and remove the fitted parts and refund for that but you would have lost your original diagnostics money. Eventually after much protestations I agreed to the additional charge to get the thing done. That was yesterday at 12.30.This morning, I get another message for yet another part they conjured up, for a cost of £11. What was the point of diagnostics if they had no idea what parts were required. This all feels like very sharp practice either inflating the cost of the repair or deceiving customers. I am surprised Samsung allow support from such companies. I have now spent more than it would have cost to buy a replacement fridge freezer (non American). Be very wary as quote to fix will not be what you end up paying!!

From my initial enquiry (having found the company through Which? Trusted Traders), through the booking process and then the actual visit and repair, the service was outstanding. I was kept fully informed of arrival times etc, costs were upfront (and very reasonable), and the technician was exemplary. He was COVID-aware and behaved accordingly, clearly knew his stuff, was proud of his work and of his company, and did the work quickly and efficiently.

Had an issue with my fan oven. Domex engineer called Stan came and inspected and agreed the fan motor had gone. Ordered the part and returned a few days later to fix the problem. It was fairly straightforward. Stan was clear, honest and polite. Interactions with the customer service team was clear and positive too.

Domex replaced a Samsung washing machine door seal. The technician that carried out the work was very pleasant, experienced and courteous. I had already taken a picture of the problem and that saved time, and he was able to complete the job in less than 20 mins or so. Wonderful !
