Mark visited to discuss fitting a rayburn for cooking and to run our central heating instead of our existing Trianco hopper fed boiler. He gave us confident and informed feedback regarding the proposed installation and reassured us that there were no apparent difficulties. He and his team of 2 extra workmen have done an amazing job in the four days they were here working in a professional and polite way. They have been sensitive to the age of the house and ensured that all pipework and cables were laid carefully and discretely for which we are extremely grateful. They were very conscientious, experienced and respected our home which is very rare these days. I would certainly recommend them.

Mark visited and went around my old converted in the 70’s house ( without today’s regulations) and I asked him about everything I hoped he may be able to deal with for me. Installation of a new controllable Oil-fired Aga Rayburn, disconnection of the old multifuel fire with back boiler, oil tank installation and hardstanding and checking of the central heating system to ensure it could cope with any future plans as renovation of the building had only just started. Mark listened, took it all in and said no problem it can all be done to my surprise. He then submitted the quote quickly with a reasonable cost, with a simple breakdown which made it easy to understand and query a few things. The Aga was ordered after a visit to his friendly office, to choose the right colour from the samples available. I was able to be flexible with dates and Mark gave me a start date, turned up on the day, with supplies ordered on site in the morning and started work with his colleagues Richard and Joel. All were very thorough and determined to do a great job despite my tricky house throwing a few tantrums. Mark kept me informed, asked if he needed to do something unexpected e.g. hole in the ceiling ( which is going eventually) rather than take up the floorboards. Mark Finished the work on time, to quote and with no problems, brilliant service, friendly and professional, would definitely recommend Gas Mark One and will use again in the future. Thank you Mark.

Uninstall a gas cooker

With a couple of days to go before my aunt's house was cleared, we were let down by a sole trader who was coming to uninstall her gas cooker, but did not turn up (apparently could not find the house in Abergavenny). Living over 100 miles away I had to find someone quickly (within 24 hours) to do this so I honed Gas Mark One. Truly excellent service. Communication with the office was clear and staff so helpful. Mark completed the work within 3 hours of me phoning, liaising with a neighbour to access my aunt's property. I am so grateful for their prompt and professional service and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Gas Mark One!

This is an excellent company and I can only reinforce the other very positive reviews. We have a house which is a mixture of old and new and we decided to completely redesign the central heating, hot water and cooking systems. This involved re-routing pipes, re-wiring, installing an oil-fired Rayburn, a wood burning stove, internal and external chimney work and bedding in a new oil tank in a new location. Mark organised all of the job, which was complicated, at times required working in cramped conditions and, despite the difficult problems which often arise with very old properties, was completed on time and on budget. When we made our initial inquiry we had an immediate response, were listened to and a very detailed estimate provided quickly. The service at that stage was far better than we had experienced elsewhere and this care, attention to detail and quality of work was typical of Mark’s attitude throughout the job. We have no criticisms, only praise, and will continue to use this company for servicing, etc. Highly recommended.

I moved into a new house in 2013 and required a new boiler to be installed. Mark was able to review the heating requirements and recommend a boiler suitable for multi-zone heating house is split into two zones. Mark has serviced this boiler every year since this time. Always professional friendly and focused on detail. Ive always appreciated the detailed communication regarding any work that has needed doing.

Gas Mark One have carried out a service of the aga. We are having problems with it cutting out and they are also helping us to find out what is causing the problem. To date they have been efficient at arranging appointments have come to do the work when agreed carried out work in a professional manner and followed up with phone calls or emails to see whether the aga has remained on.We feel confident that if the problem is not sorted they will return to look at it again.
