We were immediately impressed Barry’s knowledge of what would be required to carry out the project. He was approachable, friendly, quickly grasping what we wanted, making useful and constructive suggestions many of which we included. Any queries Barry answered immediately, visiting regularly prior to and during the project and introduced his main workmen before commencement. His estimate was comprehensive with no unpleasant surprises. When quite unforeseen additional work had to be carried out, we were consulted, and a revised estimate was given for us to consider and agree. The building work affected a large proportion of our home, but the team ensured there was the least disruption as possible and were very tidy. They were punctual, worked solidly throughout the day, polite, courteous and easy to talk to and a pleasure to have in our home. In fact, we were confident enough to go on holiday for two weeks. We were sent regular updates with photos; from these we saw the kitchen units had the wrong internal colour. We contacted Barry and he project managed and the cupboards were replaced. He did similar when required throughout the project. There were a couple of issues raised by us, but Barry and the team didn’t give up until we were entirely satisfied. His original price quote remained unchanged. The transformation is beautiful and achieved all we desired. We would recommend and use the company again and their strapline “one call does it all” is so true.

Karl fixed an oil leak in boiler casing. He was very friendly and thorough. I was very pleased he could come so quickly and the price was very fair.

We are repeat customers of GHP and as usual they have done an exceptional job. We contacted Barry worried about our roof that was showing signs of damage including crumbling mortar on the chimney. They guys went up and took pictures to show us exactly what was going on so we decided to get the roof replaced . Barry explained what would be needed and showed us tile options. We were kept up to date with how the job was going. Despite awful weather it was completely promptly and very professionally , it looks wonderful. The costing Barry gave us initially explained where there could be extras as they wouldn’t know about until the old roof came off. The lads cleared everything up and washed down afterwards and we experienced minimum upheaval which was great. Highly recommend this team of professionals and it’s nice to see them bringing youngsters into the trades.

Wow! I'm a repeat customer of Barry & GHP. Having used before for my own bathrooms refits and also building a brick retainer wall/paving sunken deck around my large Summerhouse. This time Barry and his team completely demolished, redesigned, project managed and refitted my mum's kitchen. Firstly, GHP moved the gas meter from an inside kitchen cupboard to the external wall with protected cover, then replaced the leaking mains water pipe into the house and also moved air vents for the warm air central heating from the kitchen to the hallway. Then the refit could begin. Mum chose all her fixtures and fittings and either the supplier delivered under Barry's instructions or Barry went and collected the materials. Attention to detail was second to none and within the agreed budget. Every day all rubbish (there was a lot !!) was removed and not left on site and Mum was informed daily of the progress and schedule. Unfortunately there was one delay with the worktop from the supplier, but Barry rescheduled his time/team onto other jobs and returned to complete the kitchen when the worktop arrived. There were only a few tiny snaggings which were rectified immediately. The transformation is like a 'grand design'. Thank you.

Overall I’m very pleased with Barry and the team at GHP Construction Ltd for a first floor extension and bathroom refit, which was completed to a high standard. They were accommodating, and kept mess to a minimum when they knew I would be in residence. Barry would always get back to my questions promptly, and gave me regular updates on progress. The team also came up with good solutions to problems when the architect’s plans didn’t quite match reality. I would certainly recommend GHP and they will be on my shortlist for any future projects.
