Gill Murphy Decorating

Gill fitted wardrobes in a very tight space. She really through about the plan, and how we would use them. Made sure we were 100 per cent happy with the outcome. Very respectful of our home and tidied up every evening.

I initially contacted Gill via Instagram prior to us moving to our new home in Ramsgate as wanted to try and have the ball moving asap. When we moved Gill came round to firm up the quote on our work and scheduled the work in. She has decorated both our boys bedrooms and was with us for 8 days. The standard of work is excellent, I cannot fault one part of the completed job she has completed. The 2 rooms we did were a little different as wanted to create a fun space for our boys so the first one included a yellow diagonal strip across the wall and the second bedroom we did in 4 different greens so one wall was sectioned with the 4 shades. Whilst the work was conducted we were in lockdown 3 so safety was also key due to COVID and we felt extremely safe the entire time, and as the house was full with our 2 boys home schooling Gill actually felt like part of the family for the 8 days she was here and was fantastic with our children as well.

Gill Murphy Decorating were excellent. I used their service for redecorating my home and doing some carpentry work, sourcing and putting up shelving units. Gill was extremely helpful from the offset, nothing was a problem and she had great honest advice. Whilst doing the work, any impact to us was kept to an absolute minimum and everything was kept in an immaculate state. The finished job was brilliant and the level of service was first class. I can honestly say they are one of the best outfits I?ve used in years. I would recommend Gill Murphy Decorating to anyone and will definitely be using them their services again.

NB invoice is imminent, not yet received so can't forward but am sure it will be as stated in the quote, plus the extra work involved on the fireplace. Gill painted two bedrooms for us, on the top storey of our four storey house. We have just moved in, and she transformed two very gloomy rooms into bright and airy, pleasant ones. Gill responded promptly to our initial enquiry, made a site visit (observing mask and social distancing rules) and established what was required. She was able to fit us in promptly, between other jobs which was great. She estimated the job would take three days, so we knew from the outset how long it was going to take. She told us her daily rate, we discussed the paint and she was able to order it and get it delivered here, which was convenient. She also stripped a tricky wax (?) orangey varnish off a small fireplace and painted it for us. Gill came as planned, worked non-stop and completed the job within the timescale. She left the rooms looking wonderful, cleared up everything and we are delighted.
