A couple of weeks ago I contacted Green Thumb (Cheltenham) for a lawn appraisal and in due course received a text arranging to come over for a survey which was carried out on 3 October. We agreed a course of treatments to include scarification, aeration and immediate autumn remedial treatment I was given a hand written lawn analysis report/order form which, on studying it, contained numerous errors (to do with name, address, postcode ) but it did contain the correct plan agreed. I was told that in the next couple of days I'd receive a form from head office to initiate a direct debit and, more to the point given the current state of my lawn, an operative would come round straight away to give an initial treatment. On Monday 9th I rang to check what was happening. After much faffing about checking postcodes, surnames etc, I was advised that I'd be called back directly. Sadly there was no call. I rang again to be told an "autumn" visit has been scheduled for next February- no mention of any aeration or scarification. As I have no wish to deal further with a company that has such dire communication and such a lackadaisical attitude to customer service I have cancelled the February visit will attempt to find an outfit with a better idea of what customer service actually means.
