Following my review in February, Jake has been in touch and confirmed that the Gas Fire in question was serviced by him in November. He thought that soot could have come down form the chimney in the intervening months. I am happy to take his word.

Serviced boiler and gas fire in November 2020. Gas fire stopped working in January. The guy who fixed it said that there was a build up of soot which stopped gas getting through. In his opinion it had not been cleaned for along time.

We had problems with the heating system in that the house never got really warm. Jake did a survey and advised that the boiler was not quite powerful enough to support all the radiators and that 3 of the rads were faulty. He gave us a fair price to do the work but then had to delay because of the coronavirus lockdown. When supplies were available again Jake contacted us and gave us a date to do the work. He turned up when he said he would and did the work with the minimum disruption for us. He tidied up as he went and has left us with a first class heating system. Every rad now gets hot and the house has never been so warm. We can give Jake the highest recommendation.

Recently used JM Lockwood plumbing to fit new cast iron radiators in the downstairs of my house as well as re-do my downstairs toilet (new basin and toilet unit). Jake was fantastic throughout the process it was clear that he was very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. Jake and his team were friendly and very tidy ensuring there was no mess left after. Will definitely be using JM Lockwood and his team again for my upcoming boiler service and highly recommend them for anyone's upcoming plumbing and heating needs!

Jake was efficient and hard working. Striped out old toilet and wash basin, laid new floor tiles and installed new suite. Lovely neat job. Jake just quietly got on with the work without fuss and happily accommodated what we wanted. Downside, we cleared the rubbish, but upside, very good price. Recommended.

Jake installed a new radiator and serviced the boiler for a very competitive price. He was on time, friendly and helpful. There were some unforeseen complications with the new rad, which Jake handled very well. Thoroughly recommended.
