I engaged Keith Archer to help crown a large London Plane tree in our back garden. The tree has a preservation order on it, so we also required Keith to submit a planning application to Hackney council to carry out the works on our behalf Of the three tree surgeons we asked for quotes, Keith was the cheapest. He was also the quickest to turn his quote around. Once we had engaged him he prepared an application and filed it with Hackney council. Following a visit from the Hackney tree officer our application was granted and we organised for Keith to come out in October to start the works. Unfortunately when the lads arrived, they quickly found that the tree had a fungus and would require more extensive works. As a result, Keith organised an on-site meeting with the tree officer, who required us to get a report from a tree specialist as to how much of the crown would now need to come down. Keith recommended a tree specialist and liaised with him directly. The specialist performed a desktop review of the photos and videos taken by Keith?s team and sent his recommendations to the tree officer. Keith then resubmitted our application to the council which was granted in early Jan. Keith?s team came out in early Feb to cut the tree. All of the branches had to come through our house so they covered floor and walls in cordex which really reduced the mess. I can?t speak highly enough of them. They were excellent; quick, efficient, polite and mindful of our neighbours. They have reduced the tree as much as we can as a result of the TPO constraints and we are really happy with the results. I would have no hesitation in recommending Keith, especially where you may be dealing with a tree under preservation order. Fantastic customer service from start to finish and expert execution.
