I recently had a new boiler and pump installed by the London Boiler Company. I have used this company for all my plumbing issues in several properties for over 20 years. The reason for doing so is simple- really great service! Ian visited our home, recommended a Bosch condensing boiler, but a smaller capacity one than previously installed, and a higher capacity pump. He said this would use less energy than the old setup and this has proven to be the case. The installation only took a couple of hours and the guys tested it and left everything neat and tidy. Bear (service engineer) services our boiler every year. He’s a great guy and knows exactly what he’s doing. Sam in the office is also terrific. I cannot recommend Ian and his team highly enough.

Suspected, undiscovered leak...call Leakbusters!

Exceptional, first class service & experience at the hands of George Rees (senior technician) and Ian Puddick (owner) when they visited my property in south west London to find a suspected long term water leak which had caused long term visible damage to floors and walls, in direct contrast to another company, provided by the building insurers, who not only failed to locate the leak after 2 separate technician survey appts. but also provided 2 conflicting reports! Their failure was compounded by the fact that they also failed to do a ‘gas pressure test’ which, in Leakbusters case, was the cherry on top of the icing on the cake, which not only located the leak in my property but pinpointed it exactly! Thorough & relentless expert workmanship with ‘no stone left unturned,’ using their own patented leak detection gadgets and gas...I cannot recommend Leakbusters enough and would use them again & again to find and locate a water leak with pinpoint accuracy! Job brilliantly done and super nice guys to boot!

I had a boiler problem. I was recommended to speak to the Managing Director and sent him some info about the boiler having broken down and leaking and he recommends it needs a new valve - doesn’t give me a quote. He’s supposedly a friend of a friend and he “would look after me!” His man turns up and fits a pressure/temperature valve and leaves after 10 minutes. He didn’t show anyone or talk to anyone, the tenant arrived 5 mins after he left (15 mins after he called him to say he was there and the tenant told him he was on his way and would be 10-15 mins) There wasn’t any hot water. The man could’ve sorted that there and then even if he had to go out and get a heating coil or whatever. I emailed and messaged the boss directly and he refused to respond unless I paid him for the valve installation parts and Labour. I explained that the boiler wasn’t fixed and I would happily pay for the work once the boiler was fixed. He refused to reply to me, sent his man round who entered my property uninvited, removed the valve and left the boiler with a screw instead which is illegal - he didn’t tell anyone, if they had turned the boiler on it could have exploded. He has since refused to respond to a single message or email. I have several properties, have never had such a dreadful experience in all my years of dealing with boiler companies. I have found a new reputable company that came round, supplied me a quote and they have replaced the boiler. So easy. Do not use this company.

The Customer sent us a video of a leaking valve and asked us to change the leaking valve, we quoted a price, the job was booked in, the customer then didn't want to pay and requested we return to the property and remove the part. We did this, as it was an unusual request, we documented the event and took photographs. The customer was not charged, the customer after the event made calls to the office and was abusive, we do tolerate any abuse of our staff.

The managing director responded promptly, visiting our house and providing an estimate. This was technically clear and appeared reasonable The office worked smoothly and organised for my questions to be answered and another visit from an engineer. Once I accepted the quote I was given a start and finish date which was kept to. The fitters were of a high quality and the work they carried out was to a good standard. The installation works well and I have confidence that if there is a problem the firm will arrange for a fitter to visit and rectify The trader gave a good impression and I would use them again

London Boiler Co. replaced my old boiler with a new one. This meant relocating it and extensive pipe work. I also had most of the old radiators replaced. It was rather difficult to fit the new boiler as there were no options really for where it had to go. The office staff were friendly and helpful. They kept me informed about dates. The fitters were efficient and worked very hard. The quote was reasonable and they kept to it. They did a good job and the system works. They had to fit the job in as the old boiler had been 'condemned' and we urgently needed a replacement. They came back willingly to fix a small problem. I would recommend London Boiler Co.

We're a pub and when our boiler completely stopped working it meant we couldn't open. This would have meant a massive loss of revenue for us. Leakbusters couldn't get our boiler manufacturer to attend as there was no parking outside. After I explained the urgency of the situation they sent one of their own engineers within an hour, he diagnosed the problem really quickly and unfortunately we needed a new boiler. Again Leakbusters were amazing and moved some jobs around to fit our new boiler within 24 hours. Really excellent service. They saved us from a weekend closure. The engineer was great, the guys in the office were great, and I get the feeling that even though we didn't speak, the business owner was in the background okaying these decisions to allow the work to be done so quickly. Would 100% use again.

I have requested a quote from another trader at first, but the quote was very high and they demanded changing the gas pipes despite the fact that they were mostly 22 mm (only a small 1m connection was thinner). The London Boiler company gave better price and took a reasonable approach to the pipes - the new boiler fitted into exactly the same place as the old one. Thanks for the good job.

Violation of data protection

London boiler company changed my boiler few months ago. The new boiler was installed and is fully working now. However, the person I was in contact with for the booking and payments (Sam) made the whole experience extremely difficult. She rarely replied to my emails. Her emails were written in a poor English, were unprofessional (telling me she didn't do something because she forgot to press the button!) and misleading (I asked for a specific engineer but she didn't respect that and didn't let me know someone else would come). The most obvious and outrageous issue was that she saved my bank details from the first payment (made over the phone) and used them without my knowledge/will for the second payment (my bank contacted me to let me know). It is clearly illegal. I had to change my debit card to be sure she wouldn't use my details again. I asked for an apology from her and the head of the company, I got not reply. I asked again through the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office), still no apology. I chose this company in a first place because I thought I would get a better service as it was a bit more expensive than the other companies I contacted. That was a huge mistake!

As a small family business we strive to uphold the highest of standards and once in a blue moon we just get it wrong. This is one of those times. The customer has raised several issues which i will try to address - We sent a surveyor (Gas Safe Engineer) to look at the job and test the water pressure, water flow rate etc and view the job. The customer was quoted a fixed price for the job and accepted our quote in writing, the job was booked in. When the engineer turned up, the customer called the office & requested that the surveyor fit the boiler as the customer had a contract with surveyor, not London Boiler Co, we made it clear that the contract was with the company not the surveyor. There was a problem with the programmer so replaced it with a better model. We have provided a timeline, we communicated in writing and phone, the customer did not respond after the installation when there was a request for payment. There was an incident regarding the incorrect processing of payment, as we were switching over to a brand payments system, we simply got it wrong. We apologised to the customer and sent them a bottle of Old Bakery Gin, a Gin which our engineers make (legally) in our office, it sells in Harrods & Fortnums. The gift was returned. The customer was rude to the office staff, there is need for that. Yes, it’s fair to say that our admin on this job was not satisfactory and should not happen again as we have amended our procedures.
