Exceptional, first class service & experience at the hands of George Rees (senior technician) and Ian Puddick (owner) when they visited my property in south west London to find a suspected long term water leak which had caused long term visible damage to floors and walls, in direct contrast to another company, provided by the building insurers, who not only failed to locate the leak after 2 separate technician survey appts. but also provided 2 conflicting reports! Their failure was compounded by the fact that they also failed to do a ‘gas pressure test’ which, in Leakbusters case, was the cherry on top of the icing on the cake, which not only located the leak in my property but pinpointed it exactly! Thorough & relentless expert workmanship with ‘no stone left unturned,’ using their own patented leak detection gadgets and gas...I cannot recommend Leakbusters enough and would use them again & again to find and locate a water leak with pinpoint accuracy! Job brilliantly done and super nice guys to boot!

Totally unprofessional company
I had a boiler problem. I was recommended to speak to the Managing Director and sent him some info about the boiler having broken down and leaking and he recommends it needs a new valve - doesn’t give me a quote. He’s supposedly a friend of a friend and he “would look after me!” His man turns up and fits a pressure/temperature valve and leaves after 10 minutes. He didn’t show anyone or talk to anyone, the tenant arrived 5 mins after he left (15 mins after he called him to say he was there and the tenant told him he was on his way and would be 10-15 mins) There wasn’t any hot water. The man could’ve sorted that there and then even if he had to go out and get a heating coil or whatever. I emailed and messaged the boss directly and he refused to respond unless I paid him for the valve installation parts and Labour. I explained that the boiler wasn’t fixed and I would happily pay for the work once the boiler was fixed. He refused to reply to me, sent his man round who entered my property uninvited, removed the valve and left the boiler with a screw instead which is illegal - he didn’t tell anyone, if they had turned the boiler on it could have exploded. He has since refused to respond to a single message or email. I have several properties, have never had such a dreadful experience in all my years of dealing with boiler companies. I have found a new reputable company that came round, supplied me a quote and they have replaced the boiler. So easy. Do not use this company.

The Customer sent us a video of a leaking valve and asked us to change the leaking valve, we quoted a price, the job was booked in, the customer then didn't want to pay and requested we return to the property and remove the part. We did this, as it was an unusual request, we documented the event and took photographs. The customer was not charged, the customer after the event made calls to the office and was abusive, we do tolerate any abuse of our staff.

The managing director responded promptly, visiting our house and providing an estimate. This was technically clear and appeared reasonable The office worked smoothly and organised for my questions to be answered and another visit from an engineer. Once I accepted the quote I was given a start and finish date which was kept to. The fitters were of a high quality and the work they carried out was to a good standard. The installation works well and I have confidence that if there is a problem the firm will arrange for a fitter to visit and rectify The trader gave a good impression and I would use them again

London Boiler Co. replaced my old boiler with a new one. This meant relocating it and extensive pipe work. I also had most of the old radiators replaced. It was rather difficult to fit the new boiler as there were no options really for where it had to go. The office staff were friendly and helpful. They kept me informed about dates. The fitters were efficient and worked very hard. The quote was reasonable and they kept to it. They did a good job and the system works. They had to fit the job in as the old boiler had been 'condemned' and we urgently needed a replacement. They came back willingly to fix a small problem. I would recommend London Boiler Co.

We're a pub and when our boiler completely stopped working it meant we couldn't open. This would have meant a massive loss of revenue for us. Leakbusters couldn't get our boiler manufacturer to attend as there was no parking outside. After I explained the urgency of the situation they sent one of their own engineers within an hour, he diagnosed the problem really quickly and unfortunately we needed a new boiler. Again Leakbusters were amazing and moved some jobs around to fit our new boiler within 24 hours. Really excellent service. They saved us from a weekend closure. The engineer was great, the guys in the office were great, and I get the feeling that even though we didn't speak, the business owner was in the background okaying these decisions to allow the work to be done so quickly. Would 100% use again.

I have requested a quote from another trader at first, but the quote was very high and they demanded changing the gas pipes despite the fact that they were mostly 22 mm (only a small 1m connection was thinner). The London Boiler company gave better price and took a reasonable approach to the pipes - the new boiler fitted into exactly the same place as the old one. Thanks for the good job.

London boiler company changed my boiler few months ago. The new boiler was installed and is fully working now. However, the person I was in contact with for the booking and payments (Sam) made the whole experience extremely difficult. She rarely replied to my emails. Her emails were written in a poor English, were unprofessional (telling me she didn't do something because she forgot to press the button!) and misleading (I asked for a specific engineer but she didn't respect that and didn't let me know someone else would come). The most obvious and outrageous issue was that she saved my bank details from the first payment (made over the phone) and used them without my knowledge/will for the second payment (my bank contacted me to let me know). It is clearly illegal. I had to change my debit card to be sure she wouldn't use my details again. I asked for an apology from her and the head of the company, I got not reply. I asked again through the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office), still no apology. I chose this company in a first place because I thought I would get a better service as it was a bit more expensive than the other companies I contacted. That was a huge mistake!

As a small family business we strive to uphold the highest of standards and once in a blue moon we just get it wrong. This is one of those times. The customer has raised several issues which i will try to address - We sent a surveyor (Gas Safe Engineer) to look at the job and test the water pressure, water flow rate etc and view the job. The customer was quoted a fixed price for the job and accepted our quote in writing, the job was booked in. When the engineer turned up, the customer called the office & requested that the surveyor fit the boiler as the customer had a contract with surveyor, not London Boiler Co, we made it clear that the contract was with the company not the surveyor. There was a problem with the programmer so replaced it with a better model. We have provided a timeline, we communicated in writing and phone, the customer did not respond after the installation when there was a request for payment. There was an incident regarding the incorrect processing of payment, as we were switching over to a brand payments system, we simply got it wrong. We apologised to the customer and sent them a bottle of Old Bakery Gin, a Gin which our engineers make (legally) in our office, it sells in Harrods & Fortnums. The gift was returned. The customer was rude to the office staff, there is need for that. Yes, it’s fair to say that our admin on this job was not satisfactory and should not happen again as we have amended our procedures.

Installer came to assess and quote for the work within a couple of hours of our calling, and identified a simpler and much less expensive solution for the relocation of the boiler than we had been previously quoted by another company. Installation was competed in one day less than a week later. Fitter was hard-working, professional and polite, and cleaned up really well. I needed a new boiler installed in a different location to the existing boiler. A rather tricky job given the position. Given past disappointing experiences with "specialists", I did a lot of homework on numerous companies (local and national), yet one can never be sure until they are on site. Simply put, I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the customer service people (responsive and courteous) to the two engineers who really were (are) specialists - highly competent, diligent and professional. I am thrilled with their work. They completed it within the agreed budget and ahead of schedule.

I had spoken to several companies before choosing London Boiler Company to install my new Worcester Bosch combi boiler. Some companies confused me with issues such as gas pipe sizes, requiring scaffolding to fit the flue, maybe having to take up the kitchen floor and other issues. The London Boiler Company has a straightforward approach including some Youtube Videos that explain issues such as boiler pressure and whether you may require a bigger pipe to be fitted (I didn't). The actual fitting had been budgeted for a full day but the expert fitter managed to finish the job in just over half a day - and again I had head and hot water and a much quieter boiler. I would certainly recommend London Boiler Company for their fast and efficient approach.

Emergency boiler replacement was carried out at very short notice, 3 days before Christmas for agreed budget at a good price. The engineers were polite and efficient leaving no mess. There was a problem with our internal plumbing which could have made the completion of the installation impossible with the proximity to Christmas. The engineers came up with an innovative solution requiring an inexpensive piece of equipment from a local plumbers' merchant which they sourced and fitted for a very reasonable minimal cost by the end of the day. Outstanding service, most highly recommended!

Can’t praise enough London Boiler Company. They installed our boiler on Saturday (outside their working hours) in the coldest day of the year. They understood the situation of a young family without heating or hot water in the middle of very cold winter. The engineer was very professional, tidy and managed to install new boiler in under 3 hrs. He came back the following day when an air bubble stopped the water from getting hot. The customer service was also brilliant. And on top of everything they are very competitively priced.

The quote that Leakbusters gave was the most competitive and the extended warranty on the Worcester Bosch boiler was a decisive factor. Slight hiccup with the installation as the engineer’s van broke down on the day but we were able to reschedule 2 days later and Leakbusters will give me first service free so that’s fair. Promised a call out between midday and 17:00; they don't turn up until 18:00. They take your money but don't deliver any report promised - I am still waiting for the engineers report despite them having taken my money. Do not pay the deposit over the phone as they hold your card details then deduct the remainder without providing any invoice or other detail as to what the remainder is; they keep your card details and deduct money without authorisation. Keep "promising" a report by the end of the day...no report ever arrives.

I very rarely take the time to leave reviews on services but after my recent boiler replacement I felt I had to... I decided to go with London Boiler Company after getting a few quotes... No regrets after a brilliant level of customer service and efficiency from their team – from getting the quote to arranging the appointment, the team made it simple and painless for me as a customer. A special mention has to go to man who both quoted for the boiler and fitted it on the day. He really did know his stuff and was happy to spend the time answering my range of questions and queries on both home visits. I have had quite a lot of work done on my flat in recent months and of all the workmen I have had interactions with, his level of consideration and skill was head and shoulders above the rest. Would highly recommend the London Boiler company if you are also considering getting a boiler replacement.

The London Boiler Company are one of the most polite, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, reliable, efficient and communicative service providing companies that I have ever worked with and I am already making my views known to friends in the Hampstead area and people I know who are in the property industry (I am a retired Chartered Surveyor). Was looking around for a plumber to install a new boiler and radiators. Wasn't keen on using a plumber who works out of his van and only contactable via a mobile. Found The London Boiler Company, conveniently based 10 minutes drive away from me. An established business, with a quirky but charming office , staffed with friendly and efficient people who answered my calls and emails. Had them supply and install a new boiler and also installed 6 radiators which I supplied . Started at 9am finished before 6pm. No fuss no hassle. Professional tradesmen indeed. This company concentrates only on the boilers they believe in and have confidence in. They do no other. I cannot recommend them enough. They installed our boiler in exactly the place we wanted with the minimum of fuss and did not charge extra for moving location. They are extremely easy to deal with and keep to their word. Given the number of rip-off operators in this area, we feel confident in their hands. Their 10 year warranty on our Worcester-Bosch boiler is a great bonus. We will not let anyone else service it and look forward to working with them and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Here's a company that goes above and beyond to help out its customers. I've used them 3 times now for different issues to sort out an ill-designed and ill-fitted heating system. Each time they've gone the extra mile to get an engineer over when we lost all heating and hot water when others like British Gas were lazy in assisting. Combined with their highly trained and I must say skilled engineers, they will always make sure they actually solve problems for you. If more companies worked and operated like them, it'd be a much better world.

I can't believe that I'm actually reviewing a service which I haven't personally used, but given the day and age I'm more than delighted that I called this company almost a month ago to get a quotation for an electric boiler, spoke with Gemma who emailed me the details and also arranged for me to speak with her service manager Ian, who asked me 3 questions; 1) When was the property built? 2) What water heating system was installed? 3) What room heating system was installed? Today when we spoke, I couldn't believe my ears when Ian said that the systems which were already installed in the property were among the best & wouldn't really make a financially sound decision nor would there be a difference in the output efficiency. And on that basis, I've decided not to use their service for now; but their honest approach has made me kept their contact for any boiler issues in the future. After we bought our new house we realised we need to replace the whole heating system. We called on LeakBusters/London Boiler Co and was reassured from the first phone call that we have nothing to worry about. The office staff and manager made this whole ordeal easy and stress free. We had great advise from the manager regarding which system to install and his explanations was spot on as we had no idea what to install. We had lovely engineers over whom went out of their way to help us. They were friendly and explained throughout the day about the new system. We decided to change a few plumbing items at the same time, this was all done with a smile. Engineers stayed later than they should have that night to clean up. If you have a leak, make sure the last person you call is Leakbusters. Terrible communication, The office staff are less than hopeless, except the director who tried to be helpful, but that came to nothing also. No follow up service, they never provided a report and didn't provide any value for the money spent. Look elsewhere, unless you want to waste your money.

We specialise in finding hidden leaks, when a customer calls us to discuss finding and locating a hidden leak (or leaks) we categorise the leak into several types e.g. Central Heating Leak, Roof Leak, Damp patches on walls/floors, swimming pool leaks and leaks on potable water i.e. your water main. Mr Hall contacted us told us that he had damp patches appearing in his property, his central heating was NOT losing pressure and that he wanted a quote to locate the problem. Our Quality Procedure - We emailed a fixed price quote to Mr Hall to carry out a survey re 'investigate damp patches'. Mr Hall then agreed in writing for us to carry out this type of specific survey and agreed to our Terms & Conditions. If Mr Hall had not agreed to the quote & our Terms/Conditions we would not have attended. We attended the property and carried out the appropriate survey, tests and examination of the affected areas. Our engineers found the leak to be on the central heating system, the tenants at the property informed us they had to add water to the combination boiler on a daily basis, as there was a leak. We gave Mr Hall a report stating that a Zect Tracer Gas Survey was required on the heating system to trace the leak/leaks. Mr Hall then asked if we could do the central heating survey at a cheaper rate, we quoted Mr Hall a cheaper rate to try and help him out. Mr Hall then asked for a full refund and blamed us for quoting on the wrong survey and then carrying out the wrong survey. We checked the original call log/recording, we informed Mr Hall that we had quoted him on the appropriate survey based on the information he provided. Mr Hall then admitted he must have forgotten to provide us with the information and that he had not read our quote properly. Mr Hall has decided to give us a poor review as is his right. We did exactly as we were asked to do by the customer, and when the customer admitted making an error we offered a discount to help the customer out. After a week from our first call to these people we are still without hot water and central heating working. During this week we have received three visits from a plumber who after showing up late each time, I did not like his approach and he has still left our property still with a faulty boiler. In my opinion, the staff at the office were not very professional, I was not happy with the communication. The only time they cared to call us back was to make sure they had the bank details correct. I was very disappointed.

Customer called us 2 March 2015 & complained of Boiler working intermittently. The hot water worked fine, however the heating worked on & off.
The Boiler is a Potterton Suprima which as known electronic PCB Faults as noted on BBC Watchdog.
The boiler was 8 years old and not installed by us.

We attended on 3 March - we tested the boiler and electronic controls, at the time of inspection they were working properly, we did find the system did not have a by-pass and the pump was NOT wired directly into the boiler as required by the Manufacturer (called pump-over-run), this is to protect the boiler (& controls). We recommended the existing installation faults (made by another installer) were rectified as the pump over-run will stop the boiler locking out due to over-heating & there was no room thermostat.
Two radiators were not working - one is a defective Thermostatic radiator valve and the other radiator is connected by a flexible tap connector.

5 March - after speaking to the Boiler Manufacturer Potterton, they recommended we carry out an additional test, we attended again free of charge to test the Ohms (resistance) on an internal component, we carried out the test, the component was not faulty.

After rectifying the by-pass and pump over-run we tested the boiler. The job is not finished as the room thermostat needs to connected and wired in.

The customer through has hot water, however the heating needs further work.

Brilliant, brilliant service from Leakbusters - as always. I had used Leakbusters in the past for a small job, then moved house, and quite a lot of plumbing work needed doing. Service was absolutely fantastic. Leakbusters was a genuine five star plumbing service. But the last couple of years I've felt there has been a severe drop in quality. A job replacing bathroom equipment led to damage which took five months to fix (and not to our total satisfaction). A year later, they turned up to provide a quote to fix/replace the shower and said it would be with us in a week . Despite numerous calls (‘it's being completed’ and ‘the person handling is busy but will call back’) we still received nothing after four months

Customer asked us to repair a leak on a toilet, our engineer accidentally dropped the china cistern lid & damaged it, we replaced the Lid & did not charge anything for the complete Job.

The customer then called us back & was unhappy about the white shade on the cistern Lid, we agreed happily to supply and fit a brand new toilet, and cistern and Lid again free of charge.
The customer asked us to quote on new bathroom upgrades inc new shower etc, we declined as we do not install Bathrooms.
4 Years later in 2014, the customer has decided to complain about this incident, we contacted the customer who asked us to provide a Quote on installing new Bathroom Upgrades, again we declined & explained we don't fit bathrooms.

We did accidentally damage the Cistern Lid in 2010, the customer was happy with the complete replacement WC.
We have never charged this customer a penny for this (or original wc leak repair) and we rectified the initial problem.

It is worth noting that in 2010 and 2014 the customer was happy to request us to quote for Bathroom works, sadly this not work that we undertake.
We have asked the customer to consider removing this unfair criticism, they have agreed to remove the Post when we quote for the Bathroom. The customer has also asked us to quote on installing a new water mains pipe, we gave the customer the details of a water main specialist as it work we do not undertake.

Cust called us & said bad smell, we sent Engineer FOC to investigate
