We engaged Jeff to wallpaper and paint our hall, landings and stairwells, having been impressed by his manner when he came round to discuss the work. What we had expected to be a simple job turned out to be anything but: the wallpaper we had chosen was found to have a glaring fault in its pattern once Rob, one of Jeff's team, started to lay it. This resulted in a considerable delay while we returned the faulty paper to the supplier and then faced multiple Corona virus-related problems in finding a suitable alternative. Jeff was helpful, flexible and supportive throughout these difficulties, advising us on how to proceed and helping to minimise the additional costs that inevitably arose from the delay. Rob and his assistant Dan worked quietly and discretely in the house and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves before leaving each evening. The quality of their work was second to none. I unreservedly recommend Jeff to anyone considering house renovations.

We used LJ refurbishments for some fairly major internal work including redecoration, and replacement of doors and stair spindles. Their quote was competitive and the work was completed on time and on budget. Jeff and his team were friendly and helpful and we had no concerns about leaving them in the house when we were out. The work was carried out to a high standard and the house was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Aaron the decorator and Vitos the carpenter were very punctual and took pride in their work. As soon as we met Jeff we knew our bungalow would be in safe hands. Our bungalow has been completely transformed from a building into a great home. Jeff and Don listened to what we wanted and came up with some great ideas and innovations of their own. The project has been extremely successful, great value and finishing ahead of schedule and to budget. We were able to leave Jeff, Don and their Team to get on with the project. They kept us informed at every stage and providing support throughout. Everything was well planned. They had top electricians, plasterers, plumbers, decorators all working to the highest of standards. Very well organised, punctual and tidying up as they went along. Got us a great deal with the kitchen and, because they dealt with the suppliers we were able to be relaxed throughout. Using the best Team, who supplied and used the best products throughout we are now the proud owners of a wonderful home. They helped with colour schemes, lighting requirements, radiator choice and knew the best ways to maximise our living space. They enlarged the living room in a way I did not think was possible. They did an excellent job in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms and made improvements to the bathroom above and beyond the remit. Could not have gone smoothly. Brilliant. Extremely pleased. Highly recommend LJ Refurbishments and will definitely use them again for future loft project for example. Finishing ahead of schedule was a great bonus.

I called LJ Refurbishments after a leak had damaged the bank of cupboards that run across our living-kitchen space. These were IKEA units, so there were fill-in panels at each end and the depth was 'standard' so didn't reach back to the wall. Jeff saw an opportunity to replace these with custom units that would be perfectly sized and would increase the available storage by 32%. Perfect. But the amazing thing is the whole thing didn't cost much more than replacement Ikea units would have. He was able to customise the doors with a complicated CNC-cut design that matched a pattern elsewhere in the house, which turned looked fabulous and is so unique... His team also re-decorated the inside of the house, fitted some glazed panel doors (leaded lights) with a custom hardwood door frame. Jeff is an extremely experienced carpenter & cabinet-maker. It's really nice to find a reliable trader, whose work exceeds expectations and whose prices are fair and reasonable. The only thing is, he can get quite busy - so you need to book him up early.

This was our second job with Jeff in a new house as we moved a few months ago. The decoration and re wallpaper of a medium sized sitting room. Once again helpful advice, great workmanship, flawless finish and friendly service. Competitive price.

The work we've had done on our living room and kitchen is superb. Jeff was there every step of the way guiding us and giving us sound advice. The difference in the rooms is night and day from how they looked before. I can honestly say the workmanship is of very high quality and we managed to build in some bespoke elements to the build which again Jeff was very accommodating with. Overall we are super impressed and will be using LJ in the future.
