I arranged for a gas fire and surround to be fitted on behalf of my elderly father. There were several things wrong with the fire place, two lots of damage and faulty lights. Despite a fitter taking photos of a crack and reporting it back to the shop, the owner denied there was damage and demanded settlement of the bill. When I refused to pay until the fireplace was replaced, I was shouted at and threatened with the bailiffs. After seeking and threatening legal action myself, they agreed to replace the damaged fireplace, but only with an upfront settlement of the bill. I made it clear I was willing to settle the bill within days of satisfactory work being carried out. Despite this, the fitter arrived with instructions to get payment before work started or remove the fireplace all together and to refund money already paid. I asked the fitter to leave, as I would clearly need to seek legal advice, and the work would have to be done at another time, but he refused. After I threatened to call the police, the work was carried out, and the damaged fireplace was replaced. I would not recommend this company, they are very aggressive and only seem interested in getting their money, they do not deserve a Which? Trusted Trader status.

Constructive feedback is always welcome. I am very disappointed to receive this feedback after this matter had been resolved to your satisfaction and paid in full. We attended 14.9.18 and carried out remedial work on two fireplaces ready for the two new surrounds and gas fire you had purchased for your father. The first installed to your satisfaction. When installing the second fire surround - it became clear the light transformer was faulty so we arranged to come back with a replacement. Due to access restrictions to your fathers property we were unable to replace the lights for some time after install, this unfortunately has been the case on every visit which we respect and understand is due to safeguarding your father. After this visit you then sent photos showing damage to the hearth, we offered to replace the hearth but you suggested a repair. The repair was unsatisfactory and a replacement hearth ordered. The hearth arrived, we fitted it, then you informed us there was a mark in the marble on the body you did not like and wanted it changing. This again was resolved by us attending some weeks later 09.01.19 as we respectfully asked for you to be in attendance ensuring everything was to your satisfaction. The parts supplied to us from our third party supplier (ie lights & surround) have been highlighted with our suppliers and introduced more stringent quality control. We have also looked at our procedures and implemented changes preventing re occurrences in the future.

Why does the boiler choose go the week before Christmas...? When ours did just this, LPS arranged a boiler swap and the additional work required on account of the flue, within only a day or so of the issue arising. As a result despite having no heating or hot water at the coldest time of the year and with all the additional stress of Christmas, we were only without a boiler for a matter of days. The work was then carried out quickly, efficiently, professionally and without fuss. Our expectations were not just met, they were surpassed!

Our existing boiler, 43 years old, decided to stop working. These guys installed the new boiler with very little fuss. We also needed a new hot water cylinder as the old one was leaking and to have the asbestos central heating flue pipe removed, all 7 metres of it. Work was completed in a tidy manner. The guys were friendly and courteous and professional. Thanks for the work you did.

I fully expected to learn that my aged boiler, 28 years, needed to be retired when I called LPS on Tuesday, but at 08.15 on Wed Ben arrived and within the hour had fixed the problem (pilot injector) and serviced the boiler, and I had copious hot water again! This was the first time I had used LPS Heating & Plumbing but they will be my choice from now on. From the professional way my initial call was dealt with to the reassuring manner in which Ben explained the problem and his optimism that my faithful old boiler was not for the scrap heap yet, it's clear to me that this is a first rate service. I don't often leave reviews, but it's a pleasure to be able to recommend this company to anyone, thank you LPS!

I have used LPS for a number of years both for my own home and properties we rent out. The service from Craig and all his team is always excellent, professional and totally reliable, they will also do their best to respond to any emergency work on the same day. Ben, who sorted the fire and boiler was really friendly and professional; and Trevor (heating engineer) is one of the few I feel comfortable letting loose on our complicated underfloor heating system. Thank you all, keep up the great work.

I received a reminder when the servicing was due which is important to me. The service engineer was the same person as last year which always gives confidence. As previously he was efficient, pleasant, and explained exactly what he had checked and why. I would certainly use them for any future plumbing needs. Anon.

Craig and his team did a fantastic job fitting our new Worcester Bosch Greenstar boiler. The boiler was installed and up and running at the end of the first day and the LPS team also took care of other matters that we wanted looking at including updating the water main into the property and removing some lead piping. When we had a couple of issues with our old existing plumbing Craig also ensured someone was sent out to us promptly to fix the problem. We’re really pleased with the service and support LPS provided.
