I originally asked for a price from a different company for a roof repair on a customers roof. He was rude and over priced, I spoke to Charlie from Lumia following this and he was brilliant, quick reliable service and did more than needed in the end, all within 24 hours of calling! I had a leak in the ceiling of my ensuite which was beneath a pitched roof. I assumed it was a problem with the roof and called Lumia. They came out the same day, were patient while I opened up an awkward access into the roof void to inspect the source of the leak. He quickly assessed that it was unlikely to be the roof and offered to come back if I could create a proper access into the roof void. He suggested that the likely problem was condensation leaking out of the air extraction system. It turned out his diagnosis was absolutely correct, and I was able to arrange for the renewal of the extraction system to solve the problem. I just wanted to acknowledge the really helpful approach and quick attendance to solve an urgent problem and, in this case, with no return for his efforts. Thank you very much.

Charlie, Caine, Justin and rest of the team have been the dream tradesmen. From the prompt response to my enquiry followed by a visit and fair quotation, through to the professional and friendly attitude during the work all the way to the end when they swept and cleaned not only around my property but also any debris on my neighbours sides. Even my neighbours were commenting on how lovely Charlie's team was. They did number of repairs, broken wooden roof support in the loft, blocked gutters, instalment of eave protection trays, removed, cleaned and re-bedded ridge and hips tiles. I can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure to meet the team and their craftsmanship is outstanding. I will be recommending Lumia Roofing to everyone.

I have found this company to be especially considerate to the needs of the house, we have a flat roof, which has recently been renewed - he brought to my attention many issues that had not been adhered to (plus, supplied pictures of the issues) Whilst not his issue or expense (he helped in certain areas)- he was only at our home address to put an outlet for the new Boiler that was being installed. But took his time to give guidance and recommendation; Flat roofs only last about 10 years (in our case this will only last about 5 years). I would recommend that any future clients speak with this company If flat roofing or standard roofing - he has good guidance - might be a little more expense but worth the consideration (as always remember cheap is not always the best way to go) P. My wife and I were concerned that a 30 year old flat/felted roof might fail due to the heavy storms being predicted. I contacted a couple of contractors from the Which? Trusted Traders webb-pages, Charlie at Lumia responded immediately, visited later that day, was honest enough to say a local repair was all that was necessary at that time but, after 30 years of service, I decided to have the roof re-covered with a two layer system. The price seemed fair so I gave to go-ahead and the work was carried out the next day. Charlie was easy to deal with throughout so all in all a good experience from our viewpoint. We paid his invoice by return.

After contacting Lumia, I received a fast response for the quote and very good work replacing ridge tiles and a couple of broken roof tiles. Recommended.

Charlie was excellent with time keeping but was unable to identify the reason for the continuing leak despite trying his best over 3 visits. Currently still leaking and Charlie has exhausted his options. Cost £350.00 for his work/time.

I contacted Lumina with a problem with a tiled roof to a dormer window plus a repair needed to the lead flashing to the chimney. Charlie responded quickly and arranged a site visit to assess the work. He came out on a Sunday afternoon to do this and, after a thorough survey of the work, left with a promise to forward a quotation quickly which I received within a little over an hour. I agreed the price quoted to include removal of moss from the roof. He and his workmate arrived on the following Wednesday to carry out the work required. They worked hard from the off and stripped the tiles from the dormer, replaced the old felt with a modern breathable membrane and relaid the roof tiles including the fitting of lead saddles. The repair to the lead flashing was carried out and the moss on the roof brushed off and removed. All the work was carried out very professionally to a high standard and Charlie took great care to clean up all the old moss from the roof from the conservatory roof and the patio. All debris was removed from site and the price charged was as quoted. Charlie was polite and friendly throughout and I am very pleased with the work carried out.
