I was looking for a qualified local electrician to replace an old consumer unit and after some online research I decided to use Nick John. I had used another local company in the same area on my last house but decided I wanted to use someone else this time. On his initial visit Nick suggested that due to the age of the property it would be advisable to carry out an initial survey which I agreed to. The initial survey was thorough, very good value for money and included a comprehensive report. The main issue identified from the initial survey was that some of the lighting circuits in the older part of the house were not earthed and would need to be replaced before a new consumer unit could be installed. He carried the remedial work and consumer unit upgrade and relocation as part of one job and was very professional. Social distancing was observed and suitable PPE was used were applicable throughout. I was impressed with Nick's work ethic and the quality and neatness of his work. As a result of his initial work I had no hesitation in getting him back to replace the external security lights and sensors. I cannot say whether Nick would have been the cheapest quote but having had a similar job carried out on my previous house and being impressed with him when I met him, I did not feel a further quote was required.

I have used Nick John's services several times, from the full installation of electrics, lighting & fire systems in my commercial premises, to PAT testing & smaller jobs when needed. He is always prompt with providing quotes, works hard & is very clean and tidy, respectful & knowledgable of his work. A pleasure to work with and would highly recommend.
