NJC were unable to visit due to being out of town but were extremely helpful and gave advice over the phone. They also provided phone numbers of other tradesmen who might be available for which we were extremely grateful.

Nigel responded very quickly to my email enquiry regarding faulty kitchen lights and came to assess the problem within 24 hours. He provided me with a quote the same day and came to fix the problem the next day as agreed. He provided me with a good explanation of the problem. His work was neat and tidy and I will definitely use him again for other electrical work that will need doing.

Nigel is a fantastic tradesman. He arrived on time and got straight on with the job. He found the original issue in the first 5 minutes but discovered a bigger issue in the process due to our very old wiring. He spent lots of time checking things, explaining the issues and giving us advice on what to do next. I would thoroughly recommend Nigel for any electrical issues. We were very impressed with his service.

I phoned with a very small job (jammed bathroom light switch) expecting to wait a few days but he said he would call in on his way home and he did. Friendly, courteous and paid attention to customer care. Specifically, shoe covers as he came in, checking my daughter had saved her online work and I was safely off the stairs before switching off the power. Job completed quickly and cleanly and all checks are done. Advised on some other electrical work I asked about and I will be asking him back to do this.

Nigel has carried out the electrical work in a new kitchen I have created. This included installing a new socket ring main with extra sockets, moving light switches, fitting a new consumer board and new light fittings. The quality of the existing kitchen ring main was very poor and unsafe, Nigel recommended starting from fresh with the ring main including installing the new consumer board as he rightly so wasn't prepared to put his name to the old unsafe system. This meant separating the rest of the house ring main from the old unsafe kitchen wiring and he certainly had to persevere as the task was far from straight forward. Throughout the project Nigel was punctual, well presented and polite completing a very professional excellent quality job at a reasonable price always keeping me informed of unseen extra costs and timescales. I would recommend Nigel to anyone wanting good quality, safe electrical work, thanks you Nigel for the excellent job done.

Having recently moved into an old house, I needed someone to conduct a condition report on the electrics. I contacted NJC after reading all of the positive reviews on this site and was glad I did. Nigel was great - he replied to my query promptly, he was friendly and professional, and a date was arranged to complete the work. On attending, Nigel very quickly found that the inspection would be a bigger job than anticipated due to the poor state of the electrics. He persevered, staying as long as it took to get through the work. When something went wrong that he couldn’t fix there and then, he offered to return a couple of days later to sort it, which he did. Due to a technical issue, the invoice was slightly delayed, but Nigel kept me informed until this was sorted and I was pleasantly surprised when it came - very reasonable for the level of work done. Nigel visited the property to assess work to be done. Provided verbal quote which we were happy with. He has a friendly character and explained work to be done in a straighforward manner. We arranged a mutually acceptable date for work to be carried out. He arrived exactly on time and carried out work to a hight standard. He said if there were any problems with the angle of the light to contact him and he would carry out any adjustments. We liked the fact that he displayed the 'Which Trusted Trader' badge on his jacket.

I contacted Nigel to ask about doing an Electrical Safety Report for a rental property. He explained what this would involve and what it would cover. He did the safety check on the property, sent pictures and provided the report. After I received the report, Nigel took time to go through the report with me and explain what needed to be done. Nigel, was really helpful, thorough and informative. I will use him again for future reports.
