I had a boiler installed which stopped working after 2 weeks due to poor installation. To get the problem resolved took 10 weeks, 40 phone calls and 7 visits. I was left without heating and hot water for 5 days. Very poor standard of work and terrible customer services.

Although the work was done at the end of January I am waiting for a part to be installed. Twice a date and time has been agreed and no one turned up. I had other things to do on those dates but cancelled to accommodate Northern Gas. I am still waiting today April 1st.{having a laugh eh}. Apart from this I have an issue concerning the scaffold which was charged as a full length of house construction but this was not necessary but I was charged £500 diabolical. Having spoken to other people who considered having a boiler under this scheme it was the cost of scaffold which put them off. Look into this issue as it is an overcharge. A govt. scheme being exploited yet again in my opinion. Awaiting a refund but will take this up with the companies using Northern Gas. I hope that someone will reply within the next few days without giving a stupid explanation that I had previously.

It was a pleasure to have another service from Northern Gas..It was all down to Kash. Few years ago had a new boiler with them & after care service was excellent. That time, already had a solar from another installer which at the end gone out of business. Well, things happen for a reason, I got directed towards getting a new one. This time I went with Northern Gas again cause I know I will be in good hands & will be looked after as I had with the boiler. I had a few quotes from other installer but Kash offer did stand out not to mention that my system capacity was upgraded at no extra cost. Special mention to Mohammed & Jay for a job well done, both were amazing & respectful. Looking forward to saving on my energy plus FIT pay. Thank you Kash for keeping in touch all the way. Highly recommended!

I'm still waiting for Northern Gas to repair/compensate me for all the damage caused to my property during installation of central heating and boiler. They left me with no heating throughout the entire winter last year (2017-18) and, despite dozens of phone calls, emails and several registered delivery complaints to the MD with not so much as an acknowledgement of receipt, they still haven't sorted it out. The damage to my floorboards and carpets has run into more than £1000 and their very recent and belated attempts to fix it themselves because they thought the quotes were too high have made the damage much worse and now cost several hundred pounds more. They don't even reply to my communications. They have also not responded to Which who has tried to get involved on my behalf, so have now given me a case number to pursue it through the Ombudsman, although I'm much more inclined now to just take them to court. I was without heating for 6 months and have been walking round on damaged floorboards with no carpets for 15 months. What sort of business treats its customers like this, having paid £4000 to them? I won't be giving up until they've fully compensated me for the damage and stress they've caused me. I'm only clicking on one star because the review won't submit unless at least one is selected in each category.

We can confirm your complaints have been recognised by the highest levels of staff and we have been in talks with you in regards to remedials and any other repair work which took place on 15/02. The company has been inefficient in getting the service setup, cancelling many times and damage done to my home after the work was done, water drained into electric sockets, walls and ceilings. They falsified my signature, have not responded to my concerns for a year and to date I still have no central heating. Now claiming that I have another thing to do before the heating works. None of it is their responsibility.

Very bad customer service - just not interested

This has been a sad tale of a casual and uncaring attitude to customer service. The fitters who installed the solar panels were friendly and polite, although one seemed to have a slightly limited knowledge of the system, but that was the only positive experience we had. Two examples reflect the lack of interest in providing a good service once they had our money. Although we had been promised that the scaffolding would be removed immediately the work was complete, it took 7 weeks of phone calls and e-mails, and eventually a solicitor's letter to have it dismantled. The remote monitor failed soon after installation in April. Repeated phone calls and e-mails have resulted in broken promises and protestations that NGH is keen to provide a good service, but no replacement. I have even offered to install the replacement device myself if they would post it to me, but still no response. It is now almost a year since installation. Looking at other reviews it appears to me that, where there is a prospect of repeat business - boiler servicing for example - the customer service is good. For one-off work - solar panel systems - NGH doesn't care.

Northern Gas Heating seem to employ the most professional installers I have ever seen and experienced (as an ex gas engineer that says a lot). The high degree attention to cleanliness, customer courtesy and professionalism was a shock as I have been used to couldn't care less attitude gas engineers most of my gas working life. In particular my installer (Jag Singh) was a delight to have in my home and I trusted him to do a good job, he exceeded my expectations in every area and went the extra mile to ensure total satisfaction with the installation of a Bosch Boiler. I cannot recommend this company, and Jag Singh in particular, highly enough. Thanks Guys.

We had problems with the boiler, and at a very cold and difficult time were unable to get this corrected . The engineer from northern gas was unable to fix it because it was a unit fault and we could not get a manufacturers engineer out over the weekend. Lionel Kapinga recognised that our age and illness needed the heat and worked tirelessly to get it corrected . He kept in constant touch and made sure the job was completed in record time. His efforts were above and beyond his normal duties and we feel that Northern Gas have an asset that is a' must have' for any company.
