A 'can-do' PLUMBER/Gas Engineer: willing, courteous & keen to be versatile.
Pete O'Neill converted the plumbing in an existing Bath-room & W/C to become a Shower-Room & W/C. The overall fit and finish is excellent though I personally sourced all tiles and an alternative wash-basin and W/C. His services included: - Rough design & estimated costs (verbal) - Procurement (on account) / Arrangement of delivery of the replacement Suite - Laying of protective materials throughout the working area and gangway - Removal of the existing Bathroom, Wash-basin and W/C - Removal of Tiles and some plaster - Return of unsuitable procurement items - First-fit plumbing (internal) - Final-fit plumbing (internal 2 weeks later) - External Waste-water drainage reconfiguration - Post work cleaning - Defect Rectification Overall, the standard of work was excellent though it should be noted that: - Pete is a Plumber / Gas Engineer & NOT a Designer or Project Manager; He does however have a very easy going 'Can-do' attitude and was throughout very flexible and helpful as he possibly could be. In retrospect however, I would (as a professional Programme & Project Manager myself I should have) agree with any tradesman a formal statement of work, design and specification prior to procurement / fit. I would also insist on written agreement of these and written confirmation from sub-contractors for plaster-work, tiling and electrics. - Pete was very badly supported by the Tiler he informally sourced and as such the 3-5 day Project took 2-3 weeks leaving the 1 bathroom house with severly limited utility. Thankfully, he had anticipated potential problems and left the old w/c (minus the cistern / flushing unit) in situ until the last possible moment
