Based in Willsbridge, we have been fitting windows in the Bath and Bristol area for over 20 years, we know the area and people, and have built a strong reputation for quality and service. Our new door was delivered with the wrong colour frame. After two weeks with temporary fixture the replacement frame arrived but the door was badly fitted.An attempt to adjust this failed and the door was scratched. An engineer come and made temporary adjustments. Three days later after heavy rain the door leaked we ask for replacement door but were refused. In spite off our refusal to give permission they visited and put silicone around the post box and window. This door is unsatisfactory and shut be replaced.

We always value feedback and take your comment very seriously. Door frames are hidden under protective wrapping when they are delivered to us so we are unable to check frame colour. Therefore we did not notice this ordering error. We apologised and re-ordered a new frame that day. The door was not poorly installed but had a loose bolt in the hinge (hinges are fitted during manufacturing process not installation), we tightened the bolt which you were happy with. You asked for a touch up paint for the tiny scratch which we hand delivered to you. The water tightness of glass and letterboxes in the manufacturing of composite doors is done with waterproof sealant, which is what we did on-location so that you wouldn't be left without a front door. All work carried out is to industry standard. All our doors come with a 10 year guarantee so in the unlikely event of any issues – you have the reassurance we will get them resolved.

I recently had 5 upper story windows + French windows fitted. The project had its glitches, but when I had a problem to sort out Polar Bear stuck by their commitment, and on their side they sorted problems fast. The office staff, the surveyor and the fitters were all a pleasure to deal with. After several weeks the result still seems excellent, with no snags. Detailed queries that I had before purchasing eg on security, and the sections used, were expeditiously dealt with, and the guarantees were supplied promptly after completion. I found that the brochure was head and shoulders above the competition, and so too, I believe, was the actual performance. There was no damage, and the fitting was painstaking and thorough.

I had 2 windows replaced like-for-like and a bay window knocked out and replaced with some French doors. I was feeling slightly anxious about it but I needn’t have. The team on the job were polite, professional, clearly worked well together. They consulted me when there was an opportunity to change how the external canopy was going to be supported and as a result, was able to change my mind which resulted in a much better look overall. The additional cladding, guttering and brackets look fantastic. They were tidy, worked methodically throughout the day. And by the end of the job I was really pleased with the work they had done.

They even made a repair to the conservatory roof that was not part of the job. They also cleaned and hoovered up at the end.

We had new front windows and front door installed. Tradesmen were polite, very clean and worked hard to complete the job in just one and a half days. Very pleased with the quality of product and the installation team. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Recently had 2 windows fitted, Nick & George worked for 5 hrs without a break. Did a really good job, windows fit snugly, sealed & rendered really well. All debris cleared away, both rooms left tidy. Will use them again & recommend to friends.

We had a composite front door, back door and patio doors fitted. The service from quote to installation was outstanding. Their customer service is one of the best we have come across. We had a couple of little things that needed changing and it was sorted within two days. The fitters were fantastic, they kept everything clean and tidy. Every member of staff we have spoken to has been extremely helpful. Thank you. We would highly recommend Polar Bear windows.

Having decided to move away from the safe option of white or brown UPVC, I am so pleased I chose Marmara Red - looks the best in the street ! Polar Bear Windows have a wide range of doors available in their showroom which made it much easier to choose the right style and colour.
