Being new to the area we were concerned to make sure we selected a reliable supplier for our needs. Polar were excellent both in the initial survey through to the installation. The installation carried out by Lee and Mark was some of the best work I've seen. They were both courteous and made sure we were aware of any and all issues they encountered allowing us to have the confidence of a job well done. We did have one minor problem with a door seal which appeared to have been damaged during manufacture. This was promptly fixed over the following days thanks to Kerry's help. Will definitely be using them again with their level of professional service and quality.

Replaced warped wooden front door in stone cottage with Solidor composite door to match style of original. They provided a virtual quote during lockdown and then survey and installation when restrictions eased, all promptly to date and time agreed. The fitter worked quickly and efficiently and left the site very neat and tidy.

We have an old Victorian house and has 21 windows replaced in a sash flush style in keeping with the property. From sales all the way through to surveying to fitting, the service was highly professional. We are very pleased with the windows - it was a challenging job to fit them in the old mullioned windows and keep the look of the house but this has been fully achieved. The price was reasonable but the quality of the windows seems very high.

Everything was easy, from first visit to quote to final fitting. Really pleased with the finished job and it was well fitted with the minimum if fuss. The fitters did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

Polar Windows worked to my architectural elevations, then came to measure up (all on time). I was on holiday when the windows were fitted, so I was worried, however I needn’t have worried. I returned to the most excellent quality windows. I was strict on how I wanted the RAL colour grey contemporary windows to look and Polar nailed it! I wanted simple lines and they hit the mark. They were cheaper than 4 other quotes and the fact they manufacture on site is a big bonus. We had one problem on one window out of 14, but Polar came out and sorted without me having to chase them , which is unusual seeing as i’d paid in full. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I was recommended this company by a friend having told him my horrific experience of high pressure salesmanship by Everest. I had someone come round and there was a massive difference between this salesman and the Everest one. He just did all the measuring etc. with no fuss or bother. He was really pleasant and gave me an idea of the price but said he would wait to give me the final quote as he was not sure if scaffolding was needed or not until the surveyor had been. There was no haggling or special offers. My quote came after the surveyor had been and it seemed really reasonable (about a quarter of Everest's final half price quote). We went ahead and everything was done very efficiently and all the staff I had contact with were very friendly and helpful.

From start to finish, the whole experience of dealing with Polar has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure. From the salesman to the surveyor through to having our windows and doors fitted, the whole process has been a joy. I’ve had 9 windows, a back door and patio doors from Polar Windows, in 2 separate purchases. The 2nd purchase in Nov/Dec was a disaster. 2 kitchen windows and 3 bedroom windows were to be fitted, including lintels on the bedroom windows. Day 1, the fitters didn’t manage to complete a single window correctly, but they did leave a gaping full-width hole above a bedroom window where they’d failed to replace the bricks they’d removed. As they left they said they’re “not very good at doing lintels so another team would come tomorrow”. It took over 2 hours to clean the dirt and debris they’d trampled through the house. Next day another team arrived and spent the whole day redoing the windows from day 1, including removing and refitting a kitchen window that was so far from vertical it was almost laughable. One of the windows was supplied cracked and needed to be replaced too. The door they fitted in late 2017 is faulty, it’s bowed and after they refitted it and adjusted it for the 4th time, they finally agreed in Dec 19 that it’s faulty. They say that the delay in replacing it is due to their supplier not confirming the door is faulty; my contract is with polar windows so that’s not a valid excuse and they won’t return my calls or tell me when they’re going to honour the contract and replace the faulty door.
