I found this trader on the Which Trusted trader Website and thought they would be reliable and helpful when completing works as they are part of the Trusted Trader scheme. In addition to that they also had some good reviews. Their communication turnaround time was pretty good but unfortunately they attended a vacant property with the keys from the estate agent - they couldn't gain access to the property as they had been given the wrong key. Not their fault up until this point. They took measurements from the outside but were of course unable to provide an accurate quote as they were unable to complete the quote from the inside. They did not contact the estate agent to ask them to bring the correct key over because "we do not have the time to call the agents and then have to wait around for an agent to bring over another set of keys". I found this showed a very disinterested attitude towards trying to resolve a problem, especially given that the estate agent is less than 1.5 miles away and it would have taken them 10 minutes for them to drive up to the address. I then asked if the trader could reattend to provide a quote from the inside of the property, but only if I pay another £110 for their attendance. They refused to refund me for the first failed attendance. I found this to be the type of service you would get from a disreputable trader rather than a which trusted trader - All for the sake of not being willing to make a quick phone call to the estate agent. I would suggest avoiding this trader and taking your business elsewhere.

Your review is very important to us. We’re disappointed that you are not 100% satisfied with the service we have provided which has been an unfortunate circumstance for all. As we have tried to explain, the inability to gain access to your property was unforeseen and outside of our control. In order to service you, we do request access to the property. Despite being provided with the wrong keys, we duly continued with our survey, the best we could (without access to the property). And thus have been able to provide you with the proposal we were initially attending to assess – albeit with a couple of caveats subject to being able to access the property and check a couple of elements. At the point of the visit we were unaware the agents had the correct set of keys, indeed they had already provided us with the wrong set! And having spent the better part of the allotted hour our tradesperson had to stick to his approaching appointments. “Travelling back and forth (to gain access to the property)” with no guarantee access could be provided, increasing the time on site (and potential costs) when we had already achieved what we had set out too was not (in our view) the logical thing to do, nevertheless we lacked the power to engage in it because if we did so, we would have been late for (and potentially missed) all upcoming appointments. We regret the circumstance and should you wish to proceed with the quoted work, we would arrange a free of charge site survey
Excellent gas boiler service

Second time I have used Serviceteam for an annual gas boiler service. Engineer arrived on time, carried out an efficient check of boiler, compression tank, gas meter and radiators. A cheerful and knowledgable engineer who I am confident did a great job!

A real find - good work and efficient organisation

I’ve now used Serviceteam a number of times and I’m very happy with their work and their organisation. I’ve struggled to find good electricians/plumbers etc and been horrified at the prices some charge. Serviceteam are good at their jobs, the office works very well and their rates are reasonable. Highly recommended!

I think the best thing we found with Serviceteam was that the plumber was positive throughout and installed the water tank without complaint. Everything was explained to us and it all went smoothly. No drama or stress. Will definitely use again.

Great service again!

Booked boiler repair in the evening. They came at 12.30 the next day, time slot was confirmed by phone in morning and we were kept updated, we could even track the engineer once he finished his previous job. Engineer clearly new his stuff, fixed and serviced the boiler with a minimum of fuss. This is the second time I’ve used this service and it will be my first choice in future

Great work on fixing electrical fault

Serviceteam and the engineer Hayder were very responsive to fixing our electrical problem- which was the dryer tripping off all our electricity. On the first visit, Hayder identified the potential issue and sorted out the issue, although he had to return a few days later to rectify some residual difficulties. It was all done in an efficient and friendly way. I would recommend using Serviceteam.

I expected better given their prices

Booking: Positives: the quoting and booking on the phone was quick and efficient. The operator gave clear explanations of the options available and the prices. Negatives: I was told it would be possible to change the date of the booking, if the timing of the visit, which you only get told the day before, was not convenient. But the text only came late at night at 19:44, the day before which was also a Bank Holiday, and the engineer was coming first thing in the morning. So I didn't really have a choice and had to cancel another appointment to be there to receive the engineer. Also, I was not told that there would be a charge for parking and VAT would be added to that as well (why do they need to add VAT to parking charge?). Service engineer: Positives: arrived early and carried out the work in a COVID-safe way. Negatives: was not going to check one of the outflows of the boiler, because it was slightly hard to reach. Suggested he would just do it next year after I got the wood panel in front of it cut out (!) I offered to open the valve myself through a perfectly good access hole, using a spanner, which was very easy to do. For the price this trader charges, I had expected the engineer to have a spanner and do the work. Also really quite messy. Wiped the dust from inside the boiler with a cloth, gathering all of it in his hand and then dumping it inside my boiler cupboard on its newly changed carpet, as if it was a rubbish dump. Not impressed!
