I took my fairly extensively smashed iPad screen to Simplyfixit and was quoted £89 for the repair. Whilst not the latest generation iPad I knew it was trading for over £200 second hand and a new equivalent being well over double that so bit the bullet. I took the iPad into the Corstorphine branch before Christmas and the sales person in the shop was very helpful. He explained the process and advised me of the timescales. I paid and left. I was contacted well within the timeframes I'd been given and collected the machine. I know others have said you can tell when a screen has been replaced. The replacement screens don't have the same feel and are not as tough. I work in IT and cannot see any fault with the work done. it's great and it's good to have it back. The only down side is the price but given the quality of the work its difficult to argue it's not worth it.
