Workmanship is ok. Can't comment on product & service until you use it for few months. Installation is of high standard.

First, a sales engineer called to see my house and explain the different types of water softener available and the pros and cons of each. At no time did I feel pressurised into placing an order. I placed an order for my softener of choice and about two weeks later, it was installed by a professional plumber. No complaints at all.

When my Waterside water softener failed, I researched the softener suppliers in my area and gave Sterling a call. A visit was arranged and the engineer advised me that to repair the existing unit would be expensive and for a model that was generally considered unreliable I'd probably be better off buying a new unit. A bit of Internet research confirmed his opinion of my Waterside softener, so I agreed to purchase a replacement unit made by Ecowater. There was a bit of concern about whether the exact model I wanted would fit in the available space, so on the day of the installation Sterling brought along a smaller Ecowater unit as well, just in case the larger one wouldn't fit. Fortunately the larger model did fit in nicely, it was plumbed in without problems and has been working fine ever since.

I contacted Sterling Softeners, on recommendation, as my existing electro/mechanical softener had become faulty (14 years old). Their representative gave me very good advice over the phone and, as a repair was considered not cost effective, he recommended that I change to a new M2 block salt softener which required no electricity supply and was compact. After receiving a letter & information pack , from the company, describing the options & prices I elected to have a new softener installed. A tradesman carried out the installation on my requested date and their installation was most professional and efficient . A 5 year guarantee was also provided so long as I buy block salt from Sterling delivery service. I am most pleased.
