Saturday 17/10/20 – I established the leak causing the boiler to lose pressure every few hours must be in the ground floor radiator pipes and spent all day trying to locate the leak without success. Wednesday 21/10/20 - 8.30am – Dean and colleague from TDM Heating & Plumbing arrived. At 10.27am my very impressed tenant texted me to say; “They've found it!”. Dean diagnosed that a pipe beneath the Kitchen floor had started to leak because a pipe above it was pressing down onto it when the floorboards flexed as people walked in the Kitchen. To solve this problem Dean decided to rationalise and re-configure the rather complicated arrangement of heating and hot water pipes suppling the Kitchen and upstairs radiators. Around 12.30pm I phoned Dean who said he would be able to complete the work that day and would not need the second day I had booked. During the day Dean sent me pictures of what he had found and how he was progressing with the work, concluding with pictures of the carpet re-laid neatly. At 5.45 pm my tenant texted me to say; “They've been brilliant today. Very friendly, professional, and tidy”. I am a 59 year old Chartered General Practice Surveyor & Project Manager and it is extremely rare for me to be totally satisfied with tradesmen and engineers but in this instance I am and I will make a point of using Dean and his colleagues at TDM in the future.
