Rang Mr. Paul Meek about cracked and leaking sink. He was unable to come himself, but asked if we would like his son ,Che Richard, to call us within the hour, which he did. He visited us shortly after the call and fixed both the leaking kitchen sink and another basin fixture the same day by simply replacing the smallest, cheapest parts. We are delighted with the speed, simplicity and small cost of work and would wholeheartedly recommend them.

What I really appreciated was - Paul visited our flat within two days of my calling him - his ringing that morning to confirm he was 10 mins away (which was spot on for the time he'd arranged to arrive) - his introducing himself and his offsider - unpacking/re-tidying the areas they needed to access - his referral for us to someone else as he didn't have the equipment to fix our problem - his subsequent follow-up calls to check the problem had been rectified I hadn't expected the follow-up calls but felt amazed and impressed at this level of customer service is part of his trademan's DNA.

Paul came to fix the cistern on my toilet. He did a good job and charged what I expected and left the place tidy. He phoned before he came to confirm the time.

My condenser boiler was installed 3 years ago. For about a year some radiators have not been heating up properly. I spoke to one or two tradesman over the phone about the problem and they said that the system probably needed flushing. We decided to go with Paul as his quote for flushing the system was more competitive anyway, although he said that flushing might not be the issue. He checked the system, which in the end only needed a new filter and was instead significantly cheaper to fix. Now all the radiators are really hot. He gave me proper paperwork, gave me some other useful advice about my boiler and the radiators/valves. Incidently, I am typically sceptical about tradesmen, and am not fooled easily. Nevertheless, I found him to be very friendly, apparently he has been doing this for 40 years and seems to know his stuff. He called in advance to let me know he was delayed (in the heavy snow) and even offered at the end to drop off a pint of milk for me to save me going out in the deep snow with my young baby to get some. I will definitely be using him again and it is a relief to finally find someone who seems reliable. He is also Corgi registered.

My new central heating boiler and system was installed last year by Mr Meek. He explained beforehand exactly what the work would involve, as well as the timescale, level of disruption and costs. The work was carried out efficiently, tidily and within the specified timescale, and the result has been a vastly improved central heating system. He also got rid of the old boiler, pipes etc at no extra cost. Any time I've called him with queries he's been happy to explain the details clearly and courteously. The work he's done is excellent value for money and I've already begun recouping the cost with cheaper heating bills. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Meek to anyone for any plumbing or central heating job – he takes a pride in his work and always goes the extra mile.
