A very bad customer experience

Five years ago, this company fitted a new gas fire for me. I had to ask them back several times, as the fire was draining the batteries. The person who attended said there was nothing wrong on the first occasion, grumbled on the second - and did nothing - an on the third occasion said it was too far to come. I found dealing with this company distressing. I am a partially disabled pensioner. Recently, after recovering from a stroke, I felt strong enough to give them one more chance. They said it sounded like a replacement part was needed. I ordered this, and paid £230 to have it fitted. The fire doesn't work, and the engineer who arrived said it was obvious that there had been a problem from the beginning that the batteries should not have been draining at the rate of two per week. I said I had originally been treated like an idiot by an engineer who was very patronising and clearly thought women were a bit dim. He smiled and said, 'Oh yes, I know who that would have been' No apology. The engineer is supposed to be coming back to me with details of a model to replace the six year old fire which doesnt work, despite my paying over £2000. I;ve now been waiting for them to come back to me since 24 March. It's now the end of May, and I'm being fobbed off. I am very stressed by their treatment and hoping they will effect some rapid service recovery, in which case I will be happy to update this review to a favourable outcome.
