Quote for work was provided promptly by Ben. Scott Jake and Mike carried out the work , they were polite , tidy and informative. We had electric storage heaters removed and gas central heating put in , the pipes were placed in the most discreet places they could find . We changed our minds on a position of the radiator and they were happy to relocate it after fitting. Needed a call out and Ben sent someone same day.

Thermal installed Uflex underfloor heating in our kitchen which didn’t work. The owner, Ben, was rude on the phone and claimed that we must have tampered with it. After we complained to the suppliers Thermal then sent an engineer who let some air out of the system. It still didn’t warm evenly across the floor. Ben then came out with a laser thermometer. He told us to turn the flooring up to 32 , which we would never do, and claimed that the uneven warmth was the result of air bubbles in the grouting under the tiles above the UFH. He was obnoxious and we had to show him out. Despairing of getting anywhere with thermal we paid for a second opinion from another accredited installer of Uniflex. They quickly identified the problem. The manifold had been wrongly connected up, had to be reconfigured and the floor repressurised at a cost of £180, on top of the £4,500 we had paid for the installation. We have invited Thermal to reimburse us this sum at least. We are in our 70s and this episode has caused us needless anxiety, my advice is - don’t let this bunch over the door step.

We are completely flabbergasted and dumfounded by the review, polite, cheerful professionalism is what we have provided. We are very happy with the service provided. The customer used their own electrician to wire up the underfloor, and decided not to use the controls for the under floor heating that were provided by us and from the manufacturer. We have only installed the under floor, which is laid in a pre routed board that dictates where the pipe is run. The only reason the room stat had to be turned up to 30 was the room was at 27 degrees due to the underfloor heating working so well and we were trying to test. We have a video taken of the infa red scanner showing the floor temperature at 28 degrees. Nobody has been rude to them at any time or been asked to leave and they have signed off completed works and testing. Both visits after installation were attended the same day as the call from the customer. The first call was around 4 weeks after it had been installed and initially tested. There was simply a small air lock in the manifold as it had not been used since the install and subsequent testing, quite normal. The second was when it was apparently cold. When we called 1/2 hour before arrival we were told it was turned off. They then turned it on and we checked and videoed the results. Unfortunately if you don't turn on the light with the switch the bulb wont come on. This is the best way of describing what we have had to deal with.

We have now future proofed our hot water and heating ready for this winter and years ahead. I cannot recommend Thermal highly enough, they are clean, tidy and most of all professional.
