About

Thresholds Surveyors have been trading since 1986, having opened offices in Golders Green and St John’s Wood, but over the last 20 years we have been based in Finchley. Russell Spiro FFPWS FRICS, who fronts the company, has worked for surveying practices and corporations prior to opening his own practice. During his career he has worked out of offices in Edgware, Colindale, Kensal Rise and Victoria.

A member of the RICS since 1979 Russell was elected an Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in April 1986 and subsequently elected a Fellow in May 1992. He has dealt with over 12,000 projects covering the full spectrum of work including:

-specification
-contract administration services

It is always Russell’s aim, wherever possible, to accommodate clients’ specific requests.

Rang Thresholds Surveyors for help with Party Wall Legislation and problems with a backed up Soakaway. Mr Spiro was so helpful, with his advice. He explained the ramification of his involvement with regards to his costs due to the distance of his offices from my property and my being able to recover costs under the terms of the act. He also gave me some other options to explore. Excellent service.

We contacted Threshold Surveyors for advice regarding leasehold and freehold building disputes. We have found Russell's breadth and depth of knowledge to be enormously helpful. He combines detailed knowledge of building, construction and related Leasehold/Freehold issues thereby providing an incisive real world and pragmatic advice where other professionals remain unclear and theoretical. We were given Russell's details with a glowing recommendation and he didn't disappoint. From booking in the appointment he was quick to react, clear in all instructions, no fuss in arranging the visit and delivered an extremely thorough and invaluable report in just a few days following the inspection. We've since followed up with a couple of queries as deal had progressed and Russell has always been swift to respond, concise in advice given and has a reliable network of colleagues to refer to for specific works.
