About

Widowed mum of 3, Deborah Merx, founded the business in 2010 after experiencing a really unprofessional House Clearance herself.

She believed that there had to be a better, more caring and far more professional way to deal with what can often be a very emotional experience.

In 2015 Deborah’s son Alex Merx took over the day to day running of the company although Deborah is still involved in the marketing, accounts and quality compliance side of the business.

1000+ house and flat clearances later and the company are still very much a family concern who truly believe that the customer comes first.

We have recently had cause to use this service following a bereavement. From the beginning when I made contact, communication has been precise and comprehensive. Due to circumstances, we needed to move quickly, Alex went the extra mile to oblige. The costs were exceptionally good especially with the volume of work that was done on our behalf. The team worked extremely hard on the day and were polite and attentive to our specific requirements. When the job was complete, the property was left clean and tidy even with the vacuum being used. Due to our difficult time, Alex and the team has relieved us of a significant pressure and we would have absolutely no doubts in recommending this company. Keep up the brilliant work and thank you.

I could not be more impressed with the service we received. The three guys showed up early and were ready to go, and they cleared a three-bedroom house, garage and garden within four hours. After they removed everything, we requested they even cleaned up after themselves and hoovered the property leaving it looking perfect for the estate agents to photograph. When shopping around for house clearance companies, I spoke to a lot of people who had hidden fees and numerous other requests. Deborah's house clearance does precisely what they say they on the website, no hidden fee's and are very upfront and transparent with you, which makes the process so much easier. I can not recommend this service enough and believe they are the only option when it comes to house clearance due to their honest nature and excellent work ethic.

We contacted Deborah and Alex to help us deal with my Mothers property due to her failing health, and her move to a care home. They were fab, very pleasant lads and they arrived exactly on time and proceeded to clear the flat with care and consideration. Very professional, I was amazed at how quickly they packed the furniture into the vehicle, they know what they are doing. They left the property spotless having hoovered before they left. From the initial contact to the final clearance everything went smoothly. The team were friendly, efficient and spot on time. The property was left exactly as we wanted - clear and clean in a surprisingly short space of time. I contacted Deborah and Alex to clear my mother's property and outbuilding after her death. They responded quickly to my call, arranged to visit and quote for the work and were very understanding and flexible when I needed to reschedule owing to a family emergency. I was unable to be present on the clearance day, but they collected the key on time and carried out the work to a very high standard, leaving the property spotless. I felt their service was very good value for money and I would definitely recommend them to anyone requiring this kind of work in future.

Having made initial contact I had a return call a couple of hours later. A time was arranged to see the necessary work. Alex arrived five minutes early. A date and time having been fixed, I had a call on the day to bring the time forward. Everything as done efficiently and I cannot fault the service.
