After an initial glitch with a key text going missing. George attended when he said he would, was very helpful explaining the thermostats, so clearly, even I could understand it. He did the job efficiently, explained what he's done , and seems a very nice person.

We were really pleased with the service we received from Whitfield Plumbing and Heating. They fitted a replacement boiler very professionally and efficiently. They kept us informed and arrived on time. They worked quickly and effectively on the day and resolved any issues which arose with skill. They were both helpful and polite. Overall we could not fault them and would recommend them highly to any body else wanting plumbing or heating work carried out.

Extortionate Costs
I'm sure the quality of work is fine, but the costs are ridiculous. Charged £150 for a ten minute diagnosis for a replacement 2 port valve on central heating. My fault I agreed in advance to this, I didn't request an emergency call out but seems that's what I got. Then I requested a quote to replace the valve and motor drive, an additional £588 inc VAT making a grand total of £738! Just had the whole thing done by very reputable Plumbing Company, total cost £235, meaning a £503 difference. If you use this Company be very careful they don't take all of your hard earned money, total rip off.

I’m sorry you are unhappy with our pricing, the team at Whitfield Plumbing & Heating always try our very best to ensure all of our customers are completely satisfied. Our prices reflect the quality of work and our super fast response time. We provide every customer, yourself included, with an up-front price over the phone before any work takes place. You called us explaining you had a problem with your hot water. We clearly explained we charge is £125 + VAT for a diagnostic (including the first hours labour). If we can resolve the issue within the hour, then there would be no additional cost. If any further parts or labour is required then a further estimate will be given. You chose to accept our diagnostic price and as promised we arrived within 2 hours. During the diagnosis we found the diverter valve had failed. We explained that we were unable to resolve this issue within the hour as further parts were required. We then gave a further estimate: supply/fit Honeywell motorised valve, drain gravity fed system, replace valve for new, wire valve into heating system & dose with inhibitor. You declined our estimate and then chose to use our diagnostic to phone other plumbers until you got a cheaper quote. You chose to wait 4 weeks with hot water issues where as we would have fixed your issue within 48 hours. Our prices reflect the quality of work and super fast response time. Since relocating we have had reason to rely on Whitfield Plumbing & Heating to resolve 3 issues, the last being the replacement of a faulty temperature thermostat and interface, as well as boiler and Gledhill cylinder servicing. We have been most impressed with their knowledge, skills, reliability, manner and all round professionalism. The problems addressed by them prevented further more serious issues arising for which we are very grateful. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will continue to rely on them ourselves for the future.

Helpful, thorough and knowledgeable, major work. New boiler, entire plumbing upgrade from gravity feed to mains pressure and new shower unit, Brick work, tile work etc. Whitfield was excellent. What more is there to say?

New external boiler and rerouting of piping.

We were having some internal insulation installed on our old house so we decided to have a new external boiler and have the pipes rerouted behind the insulation. We thought that this was going to be a massive undertaking, but George took it in his stride. He liaised with both my self and my plasterer, agreeing confirming requirement and gave us a very competitive price. It took two visits; one to install the piping, and once the plastering had been done, connect the external boiler, refit the radiators and get the system working. All done with very impact on me. - very tidy and scrupulously clean. He also replaced an electric shower for me; again, with very little fuss and all professionally completed. What I have learned about Whitfield plumbing is that if they agree a visit, they will honour it. Will definitely use again.

George and his team replaced a 20 year old combi boiler well within the one day they promised. They arrived exactly on time and worked with real commitment and energy. They were considerate and courteous throughout. We are well pleased with the transformation of our old heating system and delighted to have found George and his team. Since then we have used George for two other smaller jobs with equal satisfaction.

It was the coldest day so far when my boiler failed. Whitfield Plumbing came straight away (having readjusted customers) and were brilliant. Very polite and cleared up after themselves. I was very happy with them.

I'd been waiting for my usual plumber since the 4th January to come assess my Worcester boiler which was losing pressure. I emailed Whitfield plumbing 21st January about the boiler so surprised they phoned me that morning and George came to assess in the afternoon. Explained what was the problem gave me a price said someone would come Tuesday 22nd to replace the part. Pleasant young man Jake arrived Tuesday completed the work efficient , tidy and explained what he'd done. I was most impressed and certainly use them again.
