A built-in, black, multifunction single oven with one catalytic liner. on its back wall. Catalytic liners are designed to absorb and break down any fat or oil that gets splashed on to them, so you won’t have to spend too much time cleaning it off.
It comes with one wire shelf and a large baking tray, and has 46 litres of usable space inside. We found there was enough room to roast a turkey on one shelf, with all the trimmings on another.
This multifunction oven has 13 cooking settings to choose from, so along with the usual fan, top and bottom heat and grill settings, there are some less-common options. These include a setting to preheat your ovenware, one for slow cooking, and a keep-warm option.
The oven uses Bosch’s ‘4D’ hot air system, which means the fan rotates in different directions. The manufacturer says this ensures the heat is supplied evenly throughout the whole of the oven.
It’s operated using touch controls and an LCD panel, and the soft-close door means your cakes won’t get a jolt if you’re less than gentle when closing the oven door.
This oven is black, but we tested the stainless-steel version (model number HBG634BS1B). Whichever colour you go for, the oven comes with a two-year guarantee.
